Switzerland won't sell the ammo for the anti-aircraft guns that Germany gave Ukraine. Ukraine used those guns to shoot the Rashid drones and now can't get the ammunition to use it because Switzerland doesn't sell to countries that are in a conflict. Germany knew that when they gave Ukraine the guns and Switzerland is the only country that can make the ammunition. However I'm sure that the patent has run out, so I'm not sure why France or some other countries aren't making it. So yes, Switzerland is acting like they are friends of Russia.

Putin was getting desperate 6 months ago. Using criminals from prison as soldiers is pure desperation move, and a move that said Russia was low or out of trained soldiers. Belarus will do whatever Russia tells them to, especially if Putin is Belarus that intelligence (and it's a lie of course)is showing Ukraine wants to invade or attack Belarus. Belarus won't question Putin. Belarus allowing Russia to mount an air offensive doesn't fit, because if so they would have already done it. Ukraine has more anti-aircraft weapons now than it ever has. But Putin won't give in, he will use every man, woman, and child to fight his war. He will not give up and that is proven by the fall of their economy due to sanctions because of the war, 130,00 plus dead soldiers, billions in lost equipment. He will do his best to drag Belarus into his war. He has tried from the start but so far Belarus has resisted but they may let Russia use their country and borders as a "jumping off" platform. The reason Belarus has resisted is they don't want to be sanctioned any more by the rest of the world and they don't want fires and explosions popping up in thei country like they have in Russia. With the anti-aircraft batteries in place Russia will lose an enormous number of jets and helo's. And it takes years to rebuild/replace aircraft. Russia has been desperate for 6 months and when Russia gets desperate Putin starts talking about nukes hoping to get the west to back down a little. Putin won't use nukes because he is aware that if he does other nations may use theirs to retaliate and/or protect Ukraine. Putin didn't count on the west and NATO helping Ukraine but we couldn't back off either at the risk of looking weak. His people have been protesting the war for months, the soldiers mothers are screaming at him everyday. The Pressure is mounting on Putin and no matter which way he goes he cannot when this war so he will continue until Russia implodes and every last weapon is used and gone. If that happens look for Putin to take the final path of Adolf Hitler.

As a swiss, i really dont agree with you. We are neutral, this is what saved us from ww2, this is what will save from a potential ww3. We have welcomed thousands of ukrainian refugees and find the actions of russia deplorable. But freezing russian assets in our banks is clearly an offensive attack towards russia. We can't do that. We are not part of any western alliance, and never will. Also, 48 billion is nothing for swiss banks. We have several private banks with 200 to 400 billion dollars in assets managed.

The hard part is occupation. When the locals want you out you get guerrilla warfare, and that takes a real toll on troops. It's why America lost in Vietnam. Russia has been surprised by the sophistication of the Ukrainian resistance. Wait and see what will happen if they go underground. Russia has already lost. Oh, and constantly poking NATO isn't smart. Ukraine needs fighter aircraft now that they can fly and sustain. That means maybe Soviet era MIG-29 aircraft from Poland or SU-30 from eg. India or Malaysia. The Russians are evolving their tactics glacially, but they are evolving them. An air war is likely to be the next step in my mind.

Poland has already sent most of it's MiG-29's (as spare parts) almost all of it's T-72 tanks. Almost all the Ukrainian Air to air missiles came from Poland. When Ukraine gets their Leopard and M1A1's, the depot and factory level maintenance will be done in Poland.
