Agree, the video was low on details. Here's what I was able to pull from publicly available resources. The Ruta missile combines features of a jet-powered drone and a traditional cruise missile, offering versatility. It achieves speeds between 500 and 800 km/h (approximately 310 to 500 mph) and has an operational range of up to 300 kilometers (about 186 miles unconfirmed) vs the 700km that this video said (I'm not sure which source is true). Its relatively low production cost and high speed would make it a formidable threat to mobile air defense systems providing Ukraine strategic advantages on the battlefield and clearing the way for their F16s. Ukraine's Trembita cruise missile, another domestically produced weapon, has a production cost of approximately $10,000 per unit but is subsonic with decreased range, so the Ruta missile might be going for $50,000 and $500,000 per unit given like the cost factor difference between subsonic and supersonic weapons (but again, that's back of the napkin math).

@@mjk9388 I read somewhere that Ukraine's Peklo hybrid cruise missile-drone that has a range of 700km or 435 miles and speed of 700km/h costs about $100,000 a piece which means it's 10 times cheaper than Storm Shadow/Scalp EG (don't know if that price is actually true but either way it's MUCH cheaper). Maybe Ruta costs around $50,000.. maybe even less. Either way good thing Ukrainians are making their own long range weapons at unbeatable prices and they don't have to ask West if they can use them outside of Ukraine. I'm hoping to hear more about Hrim-2 ballistic missile with a range of up to 500km. Couple of months ago Zelenskiy said that it completed tests succefully. Hopefully it's going in serial production as we speak.
