Ukrainian artillery targets Russian armored guns at a range of 28 kilometers in the battle for Bakhmut. Using a captured self-propelled cannon, the crew is also trying to destroy Russian command posts. They've seen a slowdown in the frequency of attacks but intense fighting continues for the city.

These Ukrainians never cease to amaze us. Here they have a Howitzer gifted to them by putins fleeing Russians near Izyum when they liberated Kharkiv. And they have been using it dawn till dusk since February in Bakhmut, with only a reprieve in the ferocity of Russian shelling evident now. They take a bit of Russian equipment and make it work better, deadlier, more efficiently and safely. And they have just destroyed a whole lot of command, equipment, soldiers and cohesion in the Russian lines with a piece of their own Russian equipment. The new Russian Roulette - they run away and leave something on the battlefield (home to the Ukrainians), and they have to wonder if it is going to find them later. Slava Ukraini !

Lot's of ammunition was "as a goodwill gesture" left behind by the -redeploying- -withdrawing- -retreating- *fleeing* Russians during the Kharkiv counter offensive. Even though I understand that each side portrays their troops in the best possible light, I cannot help but notice a pattern in video clips: Russians always seem to be either angry or sulking, unlike Ukrainian troops who smile, pet animals, seem to enjoy each other's company and be ready for a bit of fun in even the worst conditions.

Yep, and that comes down to why their there. Ukrainians mostly chose to be there, or at the very least, still understand the importance of their goal. Many of the Russians are fighting against their will, and are taught to hate the enemy, that they are evil. Ukrainians fight ti defend their homes. It really comes down to This- Ukrainians fight because they love what’s behind them, Russians are taught they should fight because they hate what’s in front of them.

I think this is the 2S5 so the range is 28km quite far out of the range of Russian guns, even the M777 does not shoot this far without rocket assisted projectiles. Russian target acquisition seems to be almost non existent with them only seemingly having a small number of zoopark counterbattery radars. The way Russia causes most causalities against Ukrainian artillery units is using the lancet drones but they alone aren't enough to be making a massive impact on operations.

Штурмовые отряды ивановских десантников, под руководством начальника штаба, взяли под контроль несколько опорных пунктов противника при поддержке артиллерии, а также беспилотной авиации и танков. Российский офицер показывает часть трофеев, которые достались россиянам. Среди них американский рюкзак, на котором написано 'US backapack, Assault II, coyote tan, No. 30343R, MFH'. На другом рюкзаке убитого украинского солдата написаны его фамилия, имя и отчество. На каске другого - его позывной. На небольшом опорном пункте, которому посвящено видео, находились несколько трупов убитых солдат ВСУ. Российские десантники указывают на то, что оставленные трупы украинских военных заминированы, и к ним подойти нельзя.
