Please, I am just curious. Why is Ukraine not reclaiming lands back from Russia with all these attacks and advancements? I have noticed, from other KZbin creators' videos about the war, that the land map remains the same. They keep showing the red map that Russia has captured, and it is not reducing to show that Ukraine is reclaiming them. Ukraine needs to reclaim them ASAP.

No Ukraine is trying to bleed Russia out slowly. They do not have the men power or the equipment to go on the offensive and try to reclaim there territory.

No, Ukraine does not need to recapture quickly. Recapturing means that the Ukrainians have to switch from defense mode to attack mode, which would mean 5 to 10 times higher losses. The Ukrainians do it differently and retreat defensively to lure the Russians into the attack position. This means that the Russians have the higher losses, losing between 700 and 1,400 soldiers and huge amounts of material every day. Yes, the Ukrainians will lose territory, but at some point the culmination point will come and then the Russians will retreat. The Germans also had to experience this in World War II, when the point came when they were no longer driven forward, but backward.
