Russia is struggling to get reinforcements to the front line after the recent Ukrainian counteroffensive. The Ukrainian army said Monday that its forces recaptured 500 square kilometers (193 square miles) in Kherson, adding that the settlements of Vysokopillia, Biloguirka, Soukhy Stavok and Myrolioubivka were "fully under Ukrainian flag."

A message needs to be communicated to the Kremlin immediately. Attacks (rockets, aircraft, artillery, etc.) that originate from within Russia makes the soil under that equipment and personnel The Battlefront. Lethal response is legitimate and not an incursion on Russian sovereignty! The Russian military can not launch rockets from Belgorod without the expectation of having parts of the region destroyed.

It is looking more and more like this is all they know. They are not dealing with the army very well, but they are quick to attack and kill civilians. I don't understand this mentality. Seams cruel just to show they can be cruel, and with no real benefit to themselves. Fills the other side with resolve, and creates disgust among many of your own troops. Makes a general feel tough or something? I don't get it. Hard to believe such evil mindsets exist, but it is what we observe here.

@paulrevere2379

It more or less was so far as following the 20th century paradigm. Remember that they were the major suppliers and advisors for the Communist Vietnamese in the 60s and 70s. The US military was neither incompetent there nor poorly equipped despite issues here and there. Anyway, the 21st century paradigm is different. The Ukrainians have caught on to what matters most even while so many of the expects were left stupified in the fist couple weeks. It also points to something that many people miss. A critical decade, let alone multiple, is enough to really hone a dedicated cadre of warfighters (Ukraine), and conversely it's long enough for a complacent/corrupt organization to lose its critical bonds of competence (Russia).

Russia CANNOT be allowed to have a "safe haven" for their retreating military! We've all seen what happens when hostile forces are allowed to hunker down beyond a border where they are confident they will not be attacked, only to see them launch attack after attack after attack from behind their border sanctuary. Vietnam (Laos, Cambodia, N. Vietnam), Afghanistan (Pakistan), and Iraq (Iran) are classic examples. All of those wars were "lost" because the enemy had a sanctuary to continue conducting military operations with impunity. Note how the miserable Orcs are launching attacks from within the Ruzzian border to attack civilian infrastructure? That will continue forever and ever and ever until they're completely stopped.

And the highly suspicious, unified change in language in the rossbots support comments now using the term "Donbas Militias" when they want to refer to the specific russian forces that lost territory. Interesting point. As one who has made warfare my profession I dislike the blitzkrieg word made popular by western non-warriors. This war began in 2014 when NATO and the Banderites hijacked Ukraine. It was a war against the Russian Ukrainians. Donetsk and Luhansk were shelled each day killing 13000 Ukrainians mostly civilians. On February 16 of this year, a large-scale NATO/Ukrainians attack on the Donbas republics was started. That was what provoked the Russian intervention.

When the UK has sent 0.15% of it's GDP - 5 times as much as Germany - and Germany's gas policy is responsible for Russia's aggressiveness it it time for Germany to step up and actually deliver on its many promises.

Compared to other broadcast news outlets, worldwide and in the U.S., this is the best segment I’ve seen- quality, relevant analysts and questions that lead them to illustrate some key issues not included in other networks’ coverage. The exception is the continued questions about western tanks (APCs and anti-aircraft systems are not tanks and do not provide the same capability on the battlefield) - the cost in logistics and training time that comes with western tanks is substantial and my thought is that Germany providing money to Ukraine at this time is more beneficial than equipment that carries extra cost. Germany’s own stocks of equipment are not very deep, and western powers should maintain their own stocks and reserves, not bleed equipment that was designed for a specific purpose in one country to give to Ukraine that may not use it to fullest effectiveness and then possibly lose it in the field.

I am sure now that Ukraine will celebrate a military victory. However we should ask each other if that would be indeed the final victory. If the national boundaries will be enough to keep the enemy from attacking Ukraine. The international law must guarantee a sustainable peace. Russia must face the consequences, trials must be held. Protecting Ukraine from further attacks only can be guaranteed by joining NATO after the war. Russia must compensate the destruction, we should get to an agreement on payments at least for the material damages. The regime that invented this agressions must fall, so Russia can start to reinvent itself to a more peaceful culture, Russia will keep existing after the war. I think the world should start talking about those questions.

What Ukraine has achieved here in addition to liberating many towns is cut major supply lines to the fronts further South . If they can go another 40k East in the Northern area to the town of Troitske they can cut another major road and rail supply line . Even go another 15k and get it within artillery range . That would make resupply for Russia much slower and more unreliable . They want to cut supplies as the winter approaches making things very miserable for the Russians . You missed the fact they are using Pincer movements effectively to panic the Russians into retreat . I can see Sievierodonetks being liberated maybe by mid winter but maybe sooner .
