@@dixonpinfold2582 The earth curves 8" for each mile, they are using the old (And Cheap) analog receivers for the FPV (First Person View) the signal is blocked by trees or foliage. Even the newest and greatest digital systems now can go 8 miles maximum...so curvature of earth has nothing to do with it, they just don't want to blow up expensive digital systems which they use longer range for surveillance and call artillery in and adjusting fire. Their systems go maybe a mile in perfect conditions and direct LOS (Line of sight)

My guess is that they're using the wornout or damaged drones to carry these kinds of attacks, when they can't be fixed for other usage. Could also be a jammer trying To Block the signal, good pilots eitherway
