Ukrainian Language at UBC

We are excited to announce a new Ukrainian language course that will be offered by UBC's Department of Central, Eastern, and Northern European Studies and History starting in September 2023. This course will enrich the Department's academic offerings and help to promote a deeper understanding of Ukrainian culture, history, and language.

How can fighting lead to peace?

At this critical juncture, when the very survival and peaceful future of Ukrainian nation are in peril, fighting is the most important thing at the moment. Only through the fighting people of Ukrainian can drive the Russian aggressor out of their land, and only then will peace reign.

Fighting in self defense will lead to peace. It is the only alternative to capitulation and oppression
