The heaviest fighting has taken place in Bakhmut and Soledar in the Donetsk region during the country’s ongoing war with Russia, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in a video message in early Nov.
The war, which Moscow describes as a “special military operation,” has entered its ninth month.
Some 7.89 million have fled the country, mostly women and children, and 6.5 million people are internally displaced.

I was just thinking that. Sun glare can reflect under certain circumstances, sunlight can enhance the sight picture for anyone who can take a shot back, plus of course all you said. If possible I would set up a large table to lay on or have at least some stable setup at least 5 ft inside the room if possible.

I was concerned that he's shooting from right at the window, as that makes him a huge target for return fire or even counter snipers. But then he's only taking one shot and relocating, so it's probably relatively safe to do that as long as he's not repeating it too often. Otherwise if he needs to shoot from there more permanently it would be safer to actually set up on a table in the corridor, and make a small hole in the interior wall to shoot out the window from.

this is different battlezone, in irag yes, in urban combat its very very different story. Scout, get perfect shot positsion and shoot for one shot kill and exctract positsion as fast as possible because they will backfire 100%

Wasn't one of the first rules of sniper training "not to stick your barrel out the window"? I guess it's not as important as "shoot and scoot" but still. If you've got two inches of suppressor or naked barrel/muzzle brake poking out it's gonna make it easier for the enemy to know where you're shooting from. Maybe urban warfare is different, I don't know.

Little hint for you guys: 1.Spotter talks on the radio and not the shooter. 2. Don't stick your gun barrel out of the window, stay inside the room. 3. Watch where the bullet hits to verify your DOPE or hold over/wind drift dials and then you change position 4. Get a Spotter with a good scope Go on Ukraine. You guys Rock !

Watch the movie "Enemy at the Gates" . No spotter , or wind direction adjustments in Stalingrad. Just put bullet in enemy,s body and change positions.

My Grandfather made it from Normandy Beach Day2 to Germany in WW2 and he would give advise to never show how well you can shoot to a range officer or you will be made a sniper. Should you end up in battle splinter off and shoot to your full skill set.
