Clicked for the lulz - Stayed for the feels You can really appreciate the polarity of human nature in this clip - You've got his black uniform, his balaclava, his tactical vest and the overall scary militaristic appearance, but then you've got the fact that he's just sitting there playing a song on the piano, wearing a wedding ring and just being a normal human by all means. This is amazing. The mask, the uniform- removing any sort of humanity from his figure. He appears as one of the many others, he is sameness. But then he plays- and he does something that only a human could truly do. He sparked something, he conveyed emotion. The shot of the sheer music, running down to his hands. The beauty is that, in this shot, we can see that he is wearing a wedding ring- this man is truly human. He has a family, a life, a purpose- and we want to relate. That song he played wasn’t for no reason. This man has so much to say, and without saying one word, he said all of it. Through his song, this man makes me completely resonate him, and I feel everything he his conveying through music. just had to get these thoughts out…

One of the best scenes in Saving Private Ryan was when Tom Hanks, admits to his fellow soldiers that he's a school teacher. Soldiers are ordinary people, this man could have been a musician, or music teacher before he dressed in fatigues and covered his face. Whats heart breaking is in extreme situations like WWII and the conflict in Ukraine, protesting isn't enough and ordinary people are forced to fight for what's right. We see armed soldiers and we forget that soldiers are humans too (on both sides), they have lives, families, feelings and emotions. Whats beautiful for me is how this mans talents bridge that gap. It's a reminder that he is still a human, and although lost a lot, still believes in hope for a better future.

Some people may not seem to get why this is deep. yes he may be playing a piano very well but it's touching not because he is able to but because of the fact that it shows he is human too behind the mask. He has a family, a life, friends, talents but we don't see that. you throw an image of him on Facebook and he'd be seen as a terrorist because of the look he has but this video shows something other than that. That no matter the mask, the uniform, or his country he is still a human being who has taken his path to fight for whatever cause.
@wastelandscavenger58977 жыл бұрын
IncrediblyRadiatedGuy 9000 Sadly, your right. Most people do label what they don't understand. In conflicts on your home soil, it is best to hide your face to keep from being identified. He was a commander in Nazi German army, and was one of the people responsible for a slaughter of 50.000-100.000 Polish civilians in Volhyn (most of them women and children). I'm sure Ukraine has better heroes to commemorate in the present time.

First time I saw this video was back in 2014 or so and it was on tumblr lol, but whenever this song pops up in my head I always think of this man. I haven’t visited this video in a while, wild how recent these comments all are. Although it’s kinda spammed right now but you can feel this mans soul through his music.

Xav X No, bro, slavs should be togheter, whatever their religion or political preferences are... They are brothers, the sons and grandsons of the once comrades in the Great Patriotic war are fighting each other, families divided by such ridiculous wars... You may think they aren't but afterall they are, they are KILLING THEIR BROTHERS for money and to break the chains from Russia, yet their chains are not russian, but from the corrupt politicians and oligarchs in their own motherland...

That man is like you and me, he fights for his family and his people, but they are falling to the obstacles, getting split and disunited, the cigarettes and alcohol kills them, their politicians split them up and lies them, telling them to kill their brothers, the religions aren't that far... United, the slavic peoples are capable of achieving huge things, United, the Soviets reached the further skies, United, the Yugoslavs broke free from the Nazis, United, the Soviets stopped the Nazi War Machine, with a sacrifice no people in the world would do, United they are strong, because, THE UNION MAKES THE STRENGTH -A random Italian descendant Chilean who wishes you all have a good day

Background info from CNN in 2014, this guy moved to Ukraine after his wife and son died, take note of the wedding ring. He was volunteering in the revolution at the time, saw this piano in a square and decided to play, and from then on he was known as the "Piano Extremist."

Skimask solider guy plays piano Little girl: *S P I N T I M E*
@jasontrang1787 жыл бұрын
The little girl represents the juxtaposition between innocence and war. While the Ukrainian soldier plays on the piano, she dances to the melody. She's unaware of what's going on in her own hometown. On the other hand, the adults are cognizant of the emotional and physical trauma that people are dealingwith. The girl dancing makes this video all the more emotional and realistic.

Though another interpretation of this may be that the soldiers piano may be symbolic of his weapon of which he utilises do change the face of history for the sake of his cause, this is evident through the bystanders judicious range of emotions further solidifying the statement

This is an important video. Not because it's a soldier playing piano, not because it may be moving. It's important because it shows how each and every soldier in every single military force across the planet is a man or woman or hell, even a child with a past and hopes and dreams. It's tragic that this video could have never happened. That this man might never have been able to play this for all these people, that instead he might have been shot or blown up or all manner of things. War is a shitty, messed up, annoying part of the human existence. But it's necessary. If World War II had never happened, we wouldn't have landed on the moon as early as we did. Maybe not at all. Thanks for reading.

Just goes to show we’re all a complex arrangement of experiences.
