Ukrainian tank crews on the front line are fighting against recently mobilized Russian troops. They say Russia's reinforcements are thrown into battle often without proper experience or equipment, and that dead Russian troops are immediately replaced by new draftees.

I’m glad to hear their gunner fired on the enemy without waiting for the Commander’s direction….. Disciplined initiative…something the Russians never had and post-soviet armies struggle with. As someone who deployed in support of Atlantic resolve and have trained with Eastern European armies I can assure the American tax payers that our money is well spent. Most post soviet armies enlisted ranks go to E6. Ukraine goes to E9. This is because after the 2014 Crimean invasion Ukraine asked for Western help to overhaul their military and model it around the concept of an NCO corps which in Western militaries is the backbone of an organization. The biggest success far more than the javelins, himars, and m777s is the NCOs that take the initiative to use these weapons to creat chaos with the enemy. The years we spent training the Ukrainian military has translated to success on the battlefield. We must continue to support Ukraine. They are showing that NATO military training and support is superior if given to the appropriate and receptive nation.

Nazis just blindly shoot at civilians most of the time, so they don't need any confirmation. Got videos from Russian artillerys only 5km away from their target and they got all the time of the world to destroy it before leaving. That was main battlefront and shows how shit the surveillance of the Nazi regime and their NATO masters is. If you are unable to detect artillery in the open only 5km away, you are pretty much blind.

Did you know that the expression "Slava Ukraine" it appeared in the second half of the 20s of the twentieth century in the "Legion of Ukrainian Nationalists". Later, did the OUN(B) (Bandera group of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists) like this greeting. This slogan was used by those who were allied with Nazi Germany during World War II. These were Bandera members, followers of Stepan Bandera, the leader of the OUN. As it is now - the modern famous Ukrainian song "Our Father Bandera".

Ukraine gets Nato training, real-time reconnaissance via platforms like AWACS, they have access to modern satellite communication and imaging tec, the supply chains for ammunition and spare parts are managed by foreign countries for Ukraine, and you can bet that Nato generals are also involved in the planning of the offensives. Not to mention all the money, weapons, and munitions Ukraine gets. Modern warfare is far more digitalized and interconnected than in the 80s and that's what Russia is now learning the hard way.

What is victory? Putin withdrawing from the Ukraine and wrecking it again in a few years? There is an interesting lecture from 2015 on youtube about the 2014 war, and the professor said, Putin only needs to keep wrecking the Ukraine, he doesn't need to invade it. My opinion is victory would be invading Russia and taking out Putin. Not likely because of M.A.D. A more realistic path would be a Russian withdrawal, and a compromise / solution to NATO expansion whilst conceding the Crimea and agreeing to open back up the canals that feed it water. Or fight so hard, that you instigate a coup that takes Putin out. From the start, Blair was hinting the latter would be the most realistic path to victory.

It's a difference of doctrine. Western armies don't have nearly as many tanks as the Russians so we spent a lot of time building small but effective anti-armour weaponry for use with infantry. Russia on the other hand spent a lot of ressources building anti-air weaponry since the west rules the sky. As such Ukrainian tank crews in theory are less vulnerable when driving around than Russian tank crews. Only in theory though since any weapon if used correctly is deadly and in 99 out of 100 fights it's the one who spots and engages the enemy first that wins.

If you are Ukrainian, you don't have to answer)

@@katedebt9150 as well you'd know that the alliance was broken immediately in June 1941 when Nazi Germany refused to support Ukrainian independence. It's not insane from an economics point of view. Its sadder, that humans have to fight over resources (the Eastern Ukraine is one of the most resource rich places on earth.) But, as my economics teacher used to say, 'resources are scarce, and mans greed is infinite.' - the real reason for all wars, even though they are often disguised to the people as being about more motivational things such as religion, good vs evil, freedom and democracy, or protection and survival (as in the Iraq war and the WOMD threat.) Putin's no different and using the same excuses for the same reasons our ancestors fought over access to a stream or fertile land.

Russia can never win this. Not with Ukraine being backed by 40 countries around the world including NATO. And Putin knows that just by the use of one single nuke then Russia gets vaporized.

@@austindarrenor No side can truly win it - only claim winning it. We may never know who won it. There is a seminar by a professor somewhere on KZbin from 2015, that explains the troubles in the Ukraine and Crimea. He said, Putin doesn't need to invade the Ukraine. He just has to wreck it every few years to halt the West taking advantage of all the untapped resources it offers. People do not want to invest in unstable countries. However, the Russians leaving Ukraine will be seen as a victory for the Ukraine. My guess is, from reading all the news, not just western news, is that Russia will agree to leave in return for keeping the Crimea, a secret agreement for opening up canal routes to supply it with water, and some agreement not to join NATO. That is a win for Russia, but the Ukraine will claim a win in driving the Russians out.

@roderickthered4981 Жыл бұрын
@@austindarrenor To answer your Nuke theory. It's not that simple. My dissertation for my economics degree was on M.A.D and how the most stable time in our history was when the Soviets, in 1949, developed their first nuclear bomb. That now is beginning to not be the case with the development of so many Tactical nuclear weapons - of which Russia has more than NATO combined; potentially including more advanced ones. It's no longer the case that if one tactical nuclear weapon is fired on the battle ground that a government would press the doomsday button. Only someone very naive would think this. Trump realised this when he was in office, and widened the budget, but was it too late? Putin may well have struck at precisely the right time. Not that they would be used, but it's a psychological card up the sleeve. There would be an unacceptable number of deaths on the battlefield should NATO put boots on the ground - in theory, without doomsday weapons being used, as there would be no incentive to wipe out the human race even if you were losing.

@@roderickthered4981 The way it's been going for 9 mos now if Russia's military continues to get beaten down with massive war dead, loss of equipment and humiliated maybe Putin's inner circle will get exasperated and decide just to get rid of the guy once and for all. Putin's a relic of the old Soviet USSR. Probably 90% of Russians want to be integrated with Eu for its freedom and prosperity. Most of the population of Russia is to the west and geographically are part of Eu and that's where they belong and they know it.

@@omegaz3393 democracy is not that you can elect politicians into parliament. KYIV, Jan 6 2022 (Reuters) - Ukraine's pro-Western opposition accused President Volodymyr Zelenskiy of autocratic behaviour on Thursday after a court froze the assets of Zelenskiy's predecessor Petro Poroshenko and two television channels that once belonged to him. The Associated Press • 13/05/2021 A top Ukrainian opposition politician with close links to Russian President Vladimir Putin was placed under house arrest Thursday, days after being charged with treason. Viktor Medvedchuk, who heads the Opposition Platform for Life party, the largest opposition force in parliament, denies the charges brought against him last week and says they're politically motivated. The Guardian Sun 20 Mar 2022 Eleven Ukrainian political parties have been suspended because of their links with Russia, according to the Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelenskiy. The country’s national security and defence council took the decision to ban the parties from any political activity. Most of the parties affected were small, but one of them, the Opposition Platform for Life, has 44 seats in the 450-seat Ukrainian parliament. The Guardian Sun 3 Oct 2021 Revealed: ‘anti-oligarch’ Ukrainian president’s offshore connections This article is more than 1 year old Volodymyr Zelenskiy has railed against politicians hiding wealth offshore but failed to disclose links to BVI firm. The Pandora papers, leaked to the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) and shared with the Guardian as part of a global investigation however, suggest Zelenskiy is rather similar to his predecessors. Looks like systematic eradication of opposition and continuation in the oligarchy practices.

Some tanks with larger shells like the a lot of the Russian tanks, use 125mm rounds which can cost about $6,500. The Ukrainians use 50 rounds a day. No, they'll be just rounded up and either executed as deserters or forced back into battle, this time with barrier troops behind them. The best way to win is to capture the surrendered conscripts then, once the war is over, send them back to Russia. Basically pull what the Germans did against the Russian Empire/Republic back in WW1.
