speaking as someone who has been unhealthily concerned with the ultimate camera bag for decades now - thank you

I've been trying several (ok, more than several) bag and insert configurations with little success. But I have found a backpack that has an optional camera cube available that may be just what I've been looking for. I'm getting ready to take a two week trip and if it works as well as I hope, I'll share my findings. Thanks for watching.

Look up the Peter mc kinnon sling bag or the Dailypack. That are the ultimate bags. But if you need something cheaper k&f is the way to go.

I've been rocking the KFC bag (as my partner likes to call it) since December and really love it! I switched from a pricey Air Day Sling 3 Max and material-wise I was a bit concerned because compared to that, the K&F bag seems flimsy, but it actually held out great and you would not believe how much I can cram in it! It's more flexible than the Air and it also has the bottom the same size as the top (the Air is slightly narrower towards the bottom) which means more space :D I recently came back from a trip and had it jam-packed with a Nintendo Switch, an e-reader, a folding phone, earbuds, a compact Lumix, a 20000mah powerbank (pretty chunky) and cables, wallet, keys, passport, small urgency pouch (few meds, tampons, band-aids and alike), wet and dry tissues, a little flashlight... it's like a clown car :)))) I've also set aside their divider and am using a DIY one out of a piece of cardboard (janky but it works hehe) and I do have to look for a shoulder pad for that kind of load, but other than that, I cannot fault it, it's an amazing travel sling bag and it also fares well as an EDC sling, minimally loaded, without the Switch, e-reader, camera and powerbank. Thank you for the awesome comparison!

That’s awesome that you can get so much in it! I might need to take packing lessons from you. I’m on a trip right now (Las Vegas) and have everything in tech cases and one huge backpack. Thanks for watching and for the kind words. I’m so glad the K&F works for you.
@yugen90377 ай бұрын
Something I appreciate is that the K&F lets you take a small umbrella under the bag, which is great when you are photographing in winter and you need your hands free.
@yugen90377 ай бұрын
And the buckle connection and disconnection having three buttons is actually a good security feature. If not someone can just click your sling and easily steal the whole package from you.

Thanks for watching. They’re both great bags. I think the Ulanzi has a slight edge for me. But it’s really close.
@leehepburnphotography27456 ай бұрын
Thanks for this great review. I agree with everything you said, but sent the Ulanzi back and kept the K&F. Why? Well after adding a $3 shoulder strap cushion and folding a plastic ziploc bag in one of the inside pockets, I felt I obtained the strength of the Ulanzi. What the K&F provides is wide ease of access to all pockets, carrying a larger camera (S5ii) with two lenses, having the wide mouth opening is a game changer. Secondly the security of the one buckle on the K&F for theft and accidental depressing is a plus. I also keep my peak design clip at the joint as well, so I can carry my camera outside the bag and not worry about the stress detaching the strap. Also, I too grappled with the insert padding and just applied a strip of acoustic foam inside the floor of the bag before reinstalling the insert. So after adding about $5 of supplies, I truly enjoy this EDC sling. Honestly, Im thinking about buying two more to stow in case the bag deteriorates or K&F gets wise and raises the price. Anyway thanks for letting me share and for yor reviews, long time follower 😊

Thanks for your comments. I am literally in the same boat (bag?) and looking for a sling bag to carry my S5ii as well! I bought the Ulanzi a week ago and not super happy with it due to the security issue of the strap clips (what were they thinking!). I had stumbled across the K&F and just ordered today. It's interesting because the three issues that I had with the Ulanzi - shoulder strap security, missing an exterior option to holster a tripod and the rather poor interior organisation (e.g. the Ulanzi battery pouches are a bit too small for a camera battery...) seems to all be addressed with the K&F. The only negative of the K&F for me (compared to the Ulanzi) are the non-waterproof zippers. I also had the exact same thought as you regarding a shoulder strap cushion, which you can buy on Amazon for quite cheap. Regarding the cushioning within the bag - I've just put a few packets of tissues in strategic spots in the Ulanzi, which I'll probably be needing to do the same with the K&F, but I like your idea of the soundproof foam lining the bottom and might explore that option.
@leehepburnphotography27455 ай бұрын
@@brotherfranciz here's the funny thing about waterproof, the truly best protection I have found are Ziploc bags, even my most expensive bags are second to a good ol Ziploc double seal bag. just a thought 😊 Also, I bought a domke wrap, that stays in my Wndrd 30L but could certainly keep the camera wrapped in the K&F as well. For travel, I carry my S5ii w 28-200 and the 35mm 1.8 or a canon FD lens with ease. I have taken the 24-105 f4 and a 2nd lens in the bag as a second setup. So there's more than enough room. Hope you enjoy 😊

Interesting comparison. I am looking to get the K&F bag solely because of the color. I don’t want a black bag and the grey looked like a better option. I am worried though about the material and whether they are going to fray over time. Granted they are not expensive bags and they could easily be replaced, but I do want to spend my money on good quality items and nowadays it’s hard to find good quality without spending too much.

Hello Sly, how are you? One question, how many centimeters long, wide and deep is the main pocket of these bags? On Amazon it says some measurements but I don't know if they are the measurements inside the main pocket. Thank you in advance and I hope you can give me that information. greetings
