Ulanzi VL28 is a budget friendly vlogging light that can be used to record your vlogs with GoPro or any other camera such as a phone or dslr. It can be used wtih GoPro Media Mod thanks to a cold shoe mount adapter but you can also use it with Ulanzi G9-6 multifunctional battery door or Ulanzi G9-14 Metal Vlogging cage for Hero 9.

This cheap LED light for GoPro only costs around 14$ so if you are looking for a decent budget friendly light for your vidoes then VL-28 is something to consider.
Its primiraly aimed at vloggers and it comes with a white silicone diffuser that gonna soften up the light on your face and make shadows a little bit more pleasing. The light itself is not super strong as its maximum distance is somewhere around 3 metres but for vlogging it should be powerful enough to lighten up your face.
What i also noticed is that it has that colder color temperature and the colours of the face are quite nice.
The overal build quality feels like some cheap plastic and in fact it is it weights almost next to nothing ( 29 grams) but once again for 14$ you cant expect much out of it and it does the job right. When I compared it to GoPro light mod i noticed that the light mod was much powerful when in level 3 and overdrive so VL-28 once again is aimed at vlogging and not outdoor night hikes etc
The Light comes with a USB-C type cable to charge it, and on minimum brightness level you can use it up to 3 hours however on the highest brightness level it gonna work for only 45 minutes so its a bit pitty. On the level 1 it actually not that strong so can work as a fill light where you stand near the window but by no means its not as powerful as your key light the good thing is that its so cheap that you can buy like 2 of them and still dont break the bank so if you need more light you can think about it.
One more thing to take into consideration is that this light is not waterproof because the USB port is completely exposed so watch out for water etc :(once again its mainly aimed at vloggers.
