David RIP was an outstanding vocalist with excellent projection. However I see absolutely no need to put down Tom Jones who was more versatile than David. Jones could sing virtually any genre and do it well. He was also a more all around exciting, dynamic live entertainer who put on show stopping performances that are still talked about to this day. Which is why Jones was so appealing to the mainstream music scene. Both have exceptional vocal talent and it should be left at that.

Very good voice but, in my opinion does not even come close to Tom Jones. Tom's passionate interpretation of whatever song he sings just brings him to another level. Besides the fact that Tom Jones not only has that amazing, powerhouse voice but also has the exciting, sexy, dynamic persona to go with it. To each his own I suppose but I think that Sir Tom is a tough act for anyone to beat.
