It was told that once a group of fishermen went to sea to search for their bounty.. Suddenly, the weather changed and there was massive tides from every angle.. Each of the fishermen were unconscious and all of them coasted ashore.. Everyone was concious after some time except for one man.. His physical body was present but his soul was captivated by one of the sea princess spirit.. She fell in love with him.. Realizing this, one of the fishermen suggested a shaman to help bring the soul back to the physical world.. The sea princess didn't cooperate cuz she likes him.. so she called the rest of her sisters (5 all of them) to her aid because she didn't want to let him go.. A battle happened between the shaman and the sea princesses until the shaman decided to call upon the 7th princess who was the wisest, oldest and most powerful among them.. Therefore, she commanded her sisters to let the man go.. That's why u get the lyric "Aku tahu asal usulmu, yang laut pulang ke laut yang darat pulang ke darat" His captivated soul was released and the shaman presented colourful rice as a sign of gratitude for the 7th princess.. That's how it gets the lyric "nasi berwarna ku persembahkan" Umbok is classical language for flattering/praising Mayang is a coconut tree blossom used for spiritual rituals

its about a group of fishermen who almost drowned after their boat struck by huge monsoon storm. 7 princess of the sea save them and take them to their homeworld for the men to recover. they stay long enough for the princess to fall in love with them. but it is a forbidden love. so they had to send the men to the dry land. this song is said it can call the princesses when it is sung at the sea so DON'T play this song at the sea if you still want to live in this world.

@ssoott uummm.... i dont mean to... ya know, interrupting. but, 1st i dont belive in tha stuff 2nd isnt it 'bout a boy or man, (it doesnt matter) who sick. n while he was unconsious, he's actually in like spiritual world. n all the princesses tried to cure him. there are 3 twins (that makes 6 princesses) n 1 single princess in the family. the single one succes to cure the boy or man. then the princess loves him. but, its not the faith told. they cant be one
