Ultima GTR - Start Up, Spin Out and Accelerating Sounds!

This video shows an ultra rare street legal kitcar, called the Ultima GTR. The Ultima is a Space Frame Chassis with a Fiberglass Body & rides on a full set of Quantam Coil Spring Dampers. The car is performed with a Chevrolet LS7 7.0L V8 engine which makes just over 720HP!

I can admire the fact that the Ultima GTR is a true driver's car. No assists what-so-ever, and it's insane that some owners have pushed even more horsepower out of those LS7s in a car this light. If I recall correctly, Nelson Racing Engines built a 1750 HP 427 for an Ultima. It's easy to talk down about the car and driver, but with no assists, it's a car that certainly won't hesitate to end your life if you don't respect it.

I owned a 2006 race modified m5, pushing almost 600hp with the S85 V10. The m5 he raced was not stock and possibly supercharged. The GTR would eat my m5 0-100 for breakfast.... 0-60, but the m5 sound of the v-10 is one of the best sounds in the world :)

I drove one of these thru a friend of mine that owns a transmission shop...these cars are ridiculously fast! My only assumption that it looks like it got beat by the BMW is that the driver of the Ultima already knows that these tires will not hook up on dusty pavement. No, they aren't the prettiest, but they are certainly closest to being the fastest...stock.

+jamezz34 This is exactly why Ultima, and RCR (Rapier), both must create an ESP and launch control system. In cars with this much power it's necessary for both driver safety (especially if you intend to use it on the road on a regular basis) and for extracting the maximum performance from these cars.

Yea contacted them about a full roller setup with the transmission already in it i wanted a 5speed set up for sbc. They told me 25k thats with shipping . Hell of a deal. Then all i got do is drop my in motor etc wire it up . 30k total

As this guys proves in the video, you need to have skill to drive this car. It's not front wheel drive family car with loads of driver aids. Beaten of the line by an M5 which has less power and much heavier.
