I also loved the story, I’ve had the Ruby weapon quest on my mission journal ever since I unlocked the fight in order to get the Blu spell, but didn’t initially care, but after clearing it as Reaper and actually reading I started to enjoy it and uhhhh finished the rest in the same day hitting the end around 3am. 10/10 would do again lmao

They don't need to advance their technology because of their magic advancing. While the ones who have little magic but have technology need to continue advancing their technology just to be equal with the ones with magic. So you could say that while the Eorzeans seem to be 'stuck' in regards to their physical technological levels, their magic in this case has taken the place of their technologies. Like, why have the need to use complex vehicles when your technology in this case can be a magical crystal capable of teleporting people between cities of vast distances?

Walter, it's the central star of the Ophiucus constellation! It's like, important to Zodiark because HIS heart is made out of Elidibus who was the convocation member with the Ophiucus constellation on their crystal. Ophiucus is meant to be a healer, so it fits with Elidibus' role as the moderator of the convocation to heal them from any disagreements they might have. Plus, Ophiucus carries the snake constellation Serpens everywhere, which has represented the Zodiark summon ever since Final Fantasy tactics where his zodiac stone is that of Serpens!

Whereas her own version of the spell? We shrugged it off. We needed Mommy Hydaelyn to use the power of Light and likely power from the Mothercrystal to Shield us from Ultima when Lahabrea used it, but her? Meh, that's just Tuesday.

The WoL obviously gets stronger each expac, Lahabrea canonically kills us in ARR, we only get revived and succeed with mom's help - whereas we deal with him more or less on our own in HW. We go from getting bodied by Zenos to kicking his fake-echo infused dragon ass in the space of about 7 levels. We literally kill two, count them, two, gods, empowered by the faith of the most powerful people to ever exist in the history of Etheryis in EW, and then Go Even Further Beyond to beat up X. Comparing ARR WoL to post-EW WoL is like comparing post-Dragonball Goku to post-DBZ Goku - it's heaven and earth.@@rednova2212

Armoured core is too much of a niche genre for them now, doesn't make them anywhere near enough money compared to the latest souls game. That said I'd kill for another well done armoured core game. A decent story with multiple endings, balanced combat system with limitations of energy and weight, destructive environments, perhaps a tech tree in the campaign so you head down a similar design concept for your core would all be welcome additions to the next instalment. In my opinion maybe not focus on multiplayer as much so more effort can be put into the campaign but still have it of course.

I love how all the Weapons are based off of Gundams. Ruby is similar to a Dom, cant reslly see a suit to Sapphire, Emerald is like the Kyshatria from Unicorn, and Diamond is like the Sazabi and/or Sinaju. And of course, our G-warrior/Savior is based off the original Gundam, even has the eye power-up sound and the beam saber sound from the OG anime too. ❤

If you play the Ivalice raids and recall that the all the Weapons run on Synthetic Auracite then the Heart of Sabik which the original Ultima Weapon used is definitely a piece of Actual Auracite from the High Seraph herself or at least that is what I think it is.

Agreed. It's bothered me for basically...hm, 2021 - 2013 = 8ish years that this has NEVER BEEN MENTIONED AGAIN. I get it could just be one of those "throwaway lines that makes things sound cool/ancient/epic/powerful", but given how they use hooks like that to tie future stories or retcon things in a way that furthers the plot and expands on the lore, I've been genuinely confused as to why they've never revisited or mentioned that.
