Amazing!!!! To be honest, when we went there was a 30 day visa only (not like the 3 month one now!) so we were on a visa run in chiang mai during new years. I don’t think you can go wrong though! It also depends on what you like to do and where your itinerary has you near north, south or central during that time. It’ll be colder in the north during that time (I had to get a jacket spending January in Hanoi!). If you like cities I have spent a lot of time in Da Nang since making this video it’s one of my favorite places to be now; its beach side and a very social nice city! Saigon is a bit too crowded for me to spend long durations in

Best weather for parts of Vietnam: - Northeast (Hanoi, Ha Long,..): May and October -> December - Northwest (Sa Pa, Lai Chau,...): November -> March - North Central (Quang Binh, Hue,...): January -> March and August -> September - South Central (Danang, Nha Trang,...): January -> August - Southeast (HCMC, Tay Ninh,...): June -> August and December - Mekong River Delta (Can Tho, Soc Trang,...): March -> May and September -> November Vietnam is a very diverse country in weather so no time the whole country at its best, try return several times to explore more regions of Vietnam if you can

We got to Ho Chi Minh (Saigon) in early November and traveled North to Hanoi for just over 3 months. In the South (Saigon and the Mekong), it was HOT and sunny pretty much the whole time we were there. But by the time we got to Hanoi in early January, it was pretty cold and we had to buy cold weather clothing to enjoy all the areas around it (Sapa, Ha Long Bay, Ninh Binh) because all we brought initially with us was for warm weather! Hopefully that helps!

It depends on the time of year you're traveling there. We got to Ho Chi Minh (Saigon) in early November and traveled North to Hanoi for just over 3 months. By the time we got to Hanoi in January, it was pretty cold and we had to buy cold weather clothing to enjoy all the areas around it (Sapa, Ha Long Bay, Ninh Binh) when all we brought initially with us was for warm weather! If we could do it again at the same time of year, we'd start in Hanoi and work our way down so it stayed warm while we traveled. But that's just a personal preference because we like the warmth! 😊 Up to you! Either ways, it's worth it no matter what time of year you go there!

Vietnam now has 90 day visitor visa-as of August 18, 2023. Get your vaccinations before visiting - those prescribed by your home country (not covid) but typhoid, hepatitis etc. Have health accident coverage that pays immediately in Vietnam (they only recieve you at hospitals and until payment is made). Or, have immdeiate access to $5,000 usd for payment.

Travelling here? They did not tell you-get vaccinations prescribed by your home country (typhoid, etc), have accident/health insurance payable immediatley in Vietnam or immediate access to $5,000 usd. If you are in an accident or get ill and need medical attention at a hospital, they do no more than receive you until they receive payment. That means you lay on a bed in the hall and could be dying until payment or downpayment is made. This is a dusty, dirty and dangerous place to travel in. Don't be fooled by these videos where everything is great-it is not and travelling is horrible by bus.
