If you want a grand job for your living module, why not breed tropical fish and use window tile as floor, then a layer of water, then window again. Then you dupes will get the tropical decor bonus and it will look great.

I think for the neural vascilator, you should do the dupe that you want the most but treat the worst. So probably that new pilot you got who is going to be leading the way for exploration. If they get the stress or breathign related benefits then that is just perfect!

glad you do the kitchen in a couple episodes. bbq was a tiny bit of a mistake so early for me an theyre burning through mats. switched them to granite to conserve my dwindling igneous about 50 cycles ago an reverted many dupes back to gristle berry, but i'm really excited to have permanent food storage otw. love the series man. thanks again

so one of my rovers glitched. it ran out of charge about 10 cycles ago at this time an its still running. has "shut down" status an 0 charge in battery. imma just let him do his thing, but i dunno why hes still working

A suggestion. Instead of sending the space ship back and forth between planets, why not load up some metal for the robots and then land it on the planet to reload the robots and launch again. Repeat that as many times as you want, since I don't think you lose very much fuel by launching and landing.

Launch/land count as going one tile so it's 15+15 kg of steam. If he have similar distance as I do in my game (fifth tile from main planetoid), steam engine has exact amount fuel to go there, land to rearm robot modules, then go back to main planetoid...

One of the final patches before releasing out of Early-Access fixed the fuel costs of takeoff. Previously, takeoff didn't cost anything, which was a great way to melt ores to refined, and such (still is, if you can afford the fuel costs), but it got fixed so that the launch cost is, as @jigorkij said, one tile worth of fuel. For @Nathan, he can do as suggested, but will need to keep an eye on the fuel, so that the rocket has enough to go back to it's refueling pad.

I recommend using a space scanner and a notifier to let you know when your rocket is returning. It gives you at max a 3 min warning and you can preemptively put their suit back on and empty the fridge before they land.

I think the way decor morale bonuses work is the bonus is calculated using the average decor the dupe experiences over the cycle. So going over the morale cap when sleeping helps because it means even if the dupe is near some ugly decor during the day their average morale is still enough to get the bonus. One thing you can do to really cheese the decor is make the ceiling of the bedroom out of diamond and have a floor above which is packed with sculptures. If you make the floor and ceiling out of diamond the decor will extend through about 3 floors.

This is an old video, so I haven't caught up to your most recent ones. Assuming you haven't figured it out already, for Camille, is it possible that the ladders are causing her issues? She's building while on the bottom rung, which is technically the same level that the tiles are being built. So she's locked to the ladder, builds the tile, deletes the ladder at the same time, and can't move out of the way.

Yeah couls have done that but either way we have to sweep up the resources twice on the top. It's no matter, getting them there is good enough now th autosweeper can take care of them.

For the entombment process, this is what I've seen myself: when a dupe is standing "inside" a tile they're building, they get ported to another tile, horizontal is the 1st choice, diagonal is the 2nd choice of directions. If they get ported to the side, and then start building, without animations, the tile they are ported "inside" of, this construction will then trap them, resulting in entombment. Personal experience with this is to stagger priorities (every other tile with a higher priority), resulting in the forced porting going diagonal. It's a bit tedious when going for bigger projects, but solo duplicants will never entomb themselves with this.

Looking at the thumbnail of the video, you should use granite carpeted tiles for the floor of a bedroom if you are talking about luxurious bedrooms in oxygen not included. Gold metal tiles don't give them "tickled tootsies" benefit.

I did too drop rovers to help oil planetoid single inhabitant until my work team (3 great builders, one with mechatronics) was able to arrive and help. What I would recommend to you to add Orbital lab in crew module so pilot can gather databanks during flight.

For paintings and sculptures, I think what they're made of has no effect on the decor value they give yea? Cause I made some paintings with gold thinking it might be better and they turned out the same as some other ones I made that weren't made of gold.

This depends on the dupe throwing paint at the canvas too. Gold amalgam only gives +10% bonus, so a landscape canvas will only get 16.5 decor (15 +10%). Rounding errors in-game might show it as a regular 15. Build the same with Niobium, though, and the decor is a lot higher, as Niobium gives a 50% decor bonus. Refined gold, on the other hand gives a +50% decor bonus, same as niobium, so a metal block will give +30 decor (20 + 50%). Art and Creativity skills also has a chance of increasing the quality slightly, where Masterworks (tier 3 Art) has the highest chance. Unsure about the numbers there, though. Edit: Genius Metal Sculpture (highest quality) made out of Niobium gives 52.5 decor. Booted up an older colony of mine to check, got curious myself 😅

I don't like to do everything in bursts and then have almost all idle in between. It only takes "forever" if you wait for it instead of taking care of other things. Also if you sort your priorities every task will be done reasonably quick.
