ULTIMATE BEGINNER GUIDE TO CREATURES OF SONARIA! starters, controls, currency, trading & MORE!

PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION! ✨
This video will tell you everything you need to know when starting out in Creatures of Sonaria. Bear with the start, I was just getting into the swing of things lol I promise things get better after stumbling over some words. :D
I missed out a couple of things, so I'll just bullet point them here!
- Tiers are down to a creature's stats and sizes. Tiers range from 1-5. The Brequewk is a tier 1, and as a result is small and weak. As a new player, I wouldn't worry too much about tiers. That's something you can learn when you get into the game properly and begin to get a better understanding of the different creatures and pvp strategies.
- If you're in trade realm and it says "can't add this stored creature" or something like that, it means your trading partner has too many stored creatures so they have no space for another one. Same with you. If you can't get a stored from trade, then delete a slot in your storage and then trade.
- If you forget any controls or need info, press 'K' on your keyboard to bring up the creature info and control info. :)

TIP for new players! Be aware of your surroundings, there are people known as KOS which stands for kill on sight. If someone runs towards you or approaches you back away before they have a chance to hit. If they’re nice they’ll sit down after you run or will say “Hi” and start a conversation. Being aware of your surroundings and the creatures around you is a very good thing to do. If you don’t keep in check if someone could be a threat you could be killed when you least expect to be attacked.

Finally an updated guide! Me and my friend were just watching the other one yesterday, but it was pretty un updated, and he didnt know many of the controls nor mechanics, plus most of the suggested creatures were carnivores and non semi aquatic, so finding food was pretty hard without my help! I’ll show him this, and maybe it’ll help him more!

Carnivore + semi aquatic creatures are very good because if no people are there for u to eat then you can resort to eating fish

@@quailish2 I usually go for Omnivores, because if you can't find a player to kill or a fish to eat, then you can go find some berries. but I do also use Carnivores to do trolling and semi aquatics to play with my friends

I understand what you mean, but yeah a lot of outdated guides (there's the word, for any future uses) are around, I don't think people really think much about making them. I always do tell people to pick lissisceous tho since it's now been redesigned, is stronger stat-wise, and I think just more fun to use.

Bro the color customization scene was so intimidating to me. I remember the first time I clicked on CoS out of curiosity, I basically stumbled my way to the color customization area, clicked one little bean on the Lissiceous' paw, and gave up. I only actually got into the game when one of my friends introduced me to it and how it worked. Point here being, this video would have been very useful at the time, it's all good tho!

THIS IS A GREAT TUTORIAL! I wish i had this when i first started in beta. And also, for most creatures, if you hover over the time glass thing if its 34 u turn into a teen and if ur 67 u turn to adult, now this is for most creatures and some are different, but i hope this tip is helpful!

Unrelated but when I first started this game; I was a tiny breqwuek and I happened To come across a large boreal warden, I flew over to it and flew around its neck. “Sounds cinematic” “Very nice and satisfying”

When I decided to play Creatures of Sonaria, I was fearful of the larger creatures, mostly confused about what other players were talking about, and accidentally bumping into things when flying. I was pretty embarrassed… as a mobile player with some horrible lag, I had to lower the graphics to one, as I knew lagging when a larger creature was attacking me, (Or the other way around,) was a disadvantage. I also tried to hide from any other player, I was just pretty nervous about getting attacked. I also had these sudden issues of roblox crashing shortly after I joined… Tip: Never play on super laggy devices, unless that’s the only device you actually have. (I actually got killed, but I managed to reach adulthood before I died.)

*~Some Other Usefull Tips: =~ You know those orange glowy crystals? Well, when you go near them, if you're cold, they warm you up. But if you're cold and you don't know any in your location, you can go in a cave, or somewhere with a roof. Here's a tip: In areas where the little house on the bottom left corner of your screen is green, that means when you're cold, you can shelter there to warm up, and when it's yellow, you can shelter to warm up, but it's less effective then in places where the house is green. =~ There are smalls tunnels in walls such as ones in Oasis that, if you're a baby creature, or a small creature, you can go into, and they usually lead into small cave, that sometimes have orange crystals. You can go into these to escape from bigger predators that can't fit or to stay warm. =~ Tips for places to build a nest (This is a long one): Make sure either it's sheltered from natural disasters and has orange crystals, or there's a place near it that's sheltered from natural disasters and has orange crystals. Make sure the place has water near it. If you're a herbivore/omnivore, make sure that it has berries/fruit trees/melons, or berries/fruit trees near it (But it doesn't have to). The more berries/fruit tree/melons there are, the better. The place should be far away from predators, but it doesn't HAVE to be hidden. If you're strong enough to protect your babies, you can build your nest in a place that is near predators, but hidden. Also, in places where the house on the bottom left corner of your screen is green, that means it is protected from natural disasters, and you can stay warm there. Other Nest Tips For Sky Creatures: You should make your nest somewhere on a floating island, or an island high in the sky that's on a mountain or something, because there is'nt much danger, aside from the infrequent passing of a flying creature, or a flying creature landing ON the island, but then you can just grab your baby and fly away if the creature is dangerous WHICH IS VERY RARE might I add. Other Nest Tips For Sea Creatures: Since in the winter, food is still abundant in the sea and there aren't many players in the sea, and there are plenty of caves and orange crystals, AND most of the time, you don't get winter effects + its completely protected from all natural disasters, it's a pretty safe place, so you can make a nest almost anywhere. Other Nest Tips For Semi-Aquatic Creatures: Since you can't make nests underwater, you should make it in a safe, hidden cave with water that leads into the sea, like the one in Oasis. When your baby hatches, you can bring them underwater, because underwater, it's much safer. =~Nest Tips List Has Ended~= =~ The Oasis is a place in the dessert with water, and usually has lots of players, some very large, some KOS (Kill on sight), and some very very dangerous, but there are some chill people there as well. This place usually has a TON of meat just lying around, but be careful, as the player that killed the creature for the meat could potentially attack you if you eat it. The main pool of water in the Oasis has a tunnel leading to the ocean, so if you're a sea creature, you can go to the pool in the Oasis and if you're a carnivore or omnivore sea creature, you can ask for people to toss meat into it. =~ If you're a sea creature in a pack of non sea creatures, and everyone is starving due to lack of food (because it's winter) then YOU can go into the sea, and bring back kelp for the herbivores/omnivores, and you can bring back shrimp or fish or whatever for the carnivores/omnivores. =~ Roleplay is fine since this is a kinda chill survival game, unlike Cenozoic Survival, where predators are always listening to prey in the chat to figure out their location, and where animals need to almost constantly move to avoid being found by predators. =~ You should use the Omnivore gacha more then the Carnivore or Herbivore gacha because Omnivore means you can eat both meat AND plants, so if it's winter and no plants BUT you know how to get to Oasis, you can go to Oasis, and if you're too weak to kill and you can't find the Oasis, you can eat berries! =~ Here's the format for pack names: [Name] [ ONLY ALLOWED! / AREN'T ALLOWED / ARE NEEDED! ] =~ If you're bored in COS, and you have a large creature that can hold most other creatures and can fly, you can help slow and/or small creatures get to places, and you could like, ask them to pay with berries or meat or something, or you could just do it for free!

I happened to dive into this game while playing on tablet (was playing on a laggy tablet an idiot move?) as an Ani (I happened to already have enough robux to buy the species) and I spawned in a random forest that I didn't know the name of. According to my memory, it was next to a dessert, but I remained in the forest cause there was food (Ani is an herbivore). I also kept running into trees. After aging up, I had noticed a creature and got killed as a very laggy, teenage Ani. *All of that happened in 3 MINUTES.* Too long, didn't read: Played as an Ani in my first run, kept running into trees, and aged up into a teen, but got killed 3 minutes after I started. It all happened when I was playing on a tablet.

Tip for flying: When your stamina is very low glide onto a wall and then when your stamina is up you can continue flying :)

I started playing when sar went out i chosed the lissi, and i spawned in the old volcano, it was night and i could see nothing, i went into the water thing in the center and went down and down till i drowned, from there i dont remember how i understood the game, but i remember that i called oasis "The City of Sonaria" because all the players where there and there was a meat pile where big creatures left meat. Little eddit here 4 New players idk if it is already fixed but beeing inside a cave doesnt save u from tornado it will still get u so when ever u see a Tornado keep ur distance also as a New Player i recomend stay away from desert also if u play a mighty creture but u a Baby like a sar or ken ... stay away from desert

I think there should be 2 more terrain types: 1. Arboreal: creatures that can scale up trees without having to jump. They can hang/hold onto trees. 2. Fossorial: creatures that can have burrow systems of more than 4 burrows.
