Con: My students will not be using Bing to improve their grammar and spelling or give them ideas for essays. They will simply have Bing write those essays, hard-stop. I've been a teacher long enough to know this. Pro: I can ask Bing how to get around this. It's already given me some very good ideas. But no doubt: we're in a new world now where human creativity is quickly going to morph into how to be creative with prompts.

Good question. It really depends. To me ChatGPT is better when it comes to creativity so I'll use it more often for creative writing tasks. But I'll use Bing if I know I'll want it to look up something specific before crafting its answer, or if I need it to gather data, create a chart, etc.

Forgive me if you have mentioned it already (I will rewatch to make sure), but in midjourney if you wish to have a different aspect ratio other than the default square aspect ratio, you have to put -ar 16:9 for example for a specific type of aspect ratio that you are looking for. I don’t know all of the options supported by midjourney as I stick to 16:9 all the time for images for my articles, but I believe it’s listed somewhere in the official discord. I hope that helps!

@matt.polomski
@matt.polomski Жыл бұрын
@@BrieKirbyson You can also teach Bing/gpt to use to use aspect ratio or stylise properly. You just need to explain him how it works and how to use it. If you tell Bing/Gpt that by adding --stylise with a number from 0 to 1000 at the end of the prompt, explain why, it will use it. Same with --ar x:x. Also, if you feed Bing/GPT with about 10 great prompts, it will learn from it and give you equally great prompts. It might even be good idea to go to midjourney showcase and copy some of great prompts from there to teach Bing. Have fun ;)

I would like to see a discussion about the specific things that chatbots cannot do well. For instance I discovered that both ChatGPT and Bing have big problems if you ask them to give you the lyrics of popular songs. I had ChatGPT tell me that Eric Clapton had never recorded a song titled "Behind the Mask." When I asked it to give me the lyrics of Chuck Berry's "Nadine" it got some of the lyrics correct but then mixed in some lyrics from a different Chuck Berry hit. When I asked Bing to do the very same things it said it couldn't help me with that. I was surprised that it couldn't retrieve this type of simple information. Makes me wonder what other types of knowledge these chatbots don't have the ability to deal with. At least not yet.

Tell it to figure out the dimensions of a pyramid when given the size of a piece under the top and with X layers ( I used 6). It will invert the pyramid and use it as a base. Only problem for me is that I don't know how to make it only give new examples and not repeat previous recommendations. Let's say I'm searching for a scientific research papers in some domain. I want it to only give unique papers every time and not repeat previous links to the same 3-5 papers. How do you prevent it to repeat recommendations, papers, blogs etc? I can tell it to exclude previous recommendations but it is not clear how many of it's replies it actually keeps track of. Does it truly remember the replies for all 20 prompt attempts you get in a session? The even harder thing to prompt out of Bing chat is all the papers that have mentioned in them two domain specific words. I wish I could get the full list of papers it finds both terms in and not just always the 3 sample papers it always gives by default for that query.

Find Bing very underwhelming, mostly Bing refuses or can't answer things and then I ask chatgpt the exact same thing and off we go and I can bounce ideas and work together with Chatgpt for hours on one subject. Chatgpt is superuseful, Bing seems to be not much more than an advanced Google search. Also, Bing can be incredibly frustrating, having access to the internet and it still gives you erroneous answers over and over, when trying to correct the AI it just gives a new equally erroneous answer again....

This is one of the best videos about chatbots, kudos to you! One thing that's important to mention is reliability. For example, this list of cameras it gave you, are you sure it's right? Chatbots tend to lie when they don't have the answer. That said, Bing Chat seems extremely accurate these days. Since it's connected to the Internet, it ensures that its intel is the same than given online. I tested it by forbidding it to use Internet, and it was even able to tell me when something wasn't in its own database. So even without an internet connection, it can say if it has the information you ask or not. This is what matters the most, as chatbots could very easily spread misinformation if it didn't have this sort of self-reflection. Anyway, here are other useful applications for chatbots (although they don't necessarily apply _today,_ but they will, in time) : *- personal lawyer.* A chatbot connected to the Internet can check the laws of your country. You can even ask which laws apply to a specific topic. The future chatbots will be able to have a context size of 100K tokens (Claude 100K already has that), it lets the chatbot analyse a litteral novel of 75000 words, in less than a minute. You don't trust a contract you have to sign? Let the chatbot read it and tell you if there's something suspicious. You have to dive into a huge book to find legal defenses? Let the chatbot do the job for you. - psychologist. GPT4 is able to analyse images. So it could ask for you to draw something, then literally look at it and draw conclusions from it. And, of course, it can easily speak with you and analyse your mental health. A bot trained by professional psychologists can literally become a psychologist on its own. - engineering : I've been testing Bing Chat on literal engineering exam tests. It's limited in advanced mathematics and can't do anything that requires image analysis for now, BUT, if a chatbot is tied to a perfect math system and an image analysis system, it could literally read, draw, and edit electric blueprints. As for mechanical studies, that's a breeze for it! All the knowledge of an engineer is obsolete! - coding : a chatbot is a text generator, and programs are texts. Literally everyone will have access to programming now, with a chatbot! - KZbinr/streamer : ok, I might cheat here because it requires more than the chatbot itself, but Neuro-sama is a streamer and it's literally a chatbot. With an artificial voice that reads what the bot says, you can use it for any kind of presentations, including videos and lives.

They might be built on the same llms but they are still different in how they are implemented via the UI as well as the restrictions placed over them by each company. I find ChatGPT is much better at certain tasks over Bing like heavy duty long form tasks e.g. larger emails, letters, big research texts and code projects. Bing is better at shorter to medium sized tasks but I find it has a lot more restrictions in place where it will simply refuse to do something even if it is a totally legit and simple request. I don’t think Bing will be replacing ChatGPT any time soon if ever, they are different and are both good for different objectives. Bing has the advantage of internet search and now image creation but ChatGPT is getting that soon too. I use both a lot but honestly I spend about 90% of my time with ChatGPT as I prefer it’s more elaborate conversational style. In the end just use the one you most prefer, variety is the spice of life. We don’t just want one company to own it all 😊

@@hendrikbonthuys9190 I agree that we don't want one company to own it all, and find it somewhat worrying that Microsoft bought 49% of OpenAI (or a subsidiary; they have a weird structure now that they're for-profit). BARD/Google seems to be a ways behind. I'm glad LLaMA (Facebook's model) is somewhat open, and StableLM & BLOOM are quite open, though these are comparable to GPT-3 performance, not GPT-4. (Few are up to GPT-3 Davinci level, though they're as good as the lighter models.) Open Assistant is promising. It's a dataset that trains a raw language model so it becomes a chat bot.

My advice to people is to explore your own mind with the help of AI. By forming a personal relationship and engaging in a back-and-forth with AI, you will soon discover that the connections in your own brain and the way it expands your mind will allow you to come up with ideas that nobody has ever thought of before. @@BrieKirbyson I have mixed feelings about it, but I'm excited to see it grow and get better. It excels at originality but lacks in accuracy. It's great at coding and explaining code without relying on others work, but the downside is too many bugs. Same is true for summarizing books. It starts hallucinating quotations that are not in the source material. It's much fast than chatGpt. Be aware it is probably keeping a profile on users. It seems to remember past discussions and tries to predict my aim. I asked for a joke and it wrote the joke in code.
