I also thrift for books. Sometimes for myself and sometimes kids books for Angel Tree. The thrift stores near me have had books that look brand new, right out of a regular bookstore. Those are the only ones I would get for Angel Tree. For myself it doesn't matter. Near me they only cost $0.50 to $2 usually. $3 for super new looking high demand books, but that is rare. I usually pay $1.

I think your Goodwill is expensive. Mine is 1.39 for hardback and either 1.00 or 99 for paperback. I just found a thrift store paperback is. .25 cents
