I am so very glad I found you! I was searching for information on spices and found your KZbin channel. This is all very new to me. I just started Carnivore 2-3 days ago. I have noticed significant changes already. No brain fog, smelling better, blurry vision left, no longer bloated or constipated. LOL You gave me more information than all the hours of KZbin videos I have watched. You are such a Blessing! So glad I found you. FYI.... I am diabetic (very addicted to sugar and carbs. had a heart attack 6 years ago, and had a stroke last January, 9 2022. I am currently wheelchair reliant due to paralyzed left side ) So very tired of being sick and tired. Today I turned down a chocolate and whipped cream dessert and warm fresh bread. I feel so very satisfied on this plan, my sugar cravings have ceased.

I was in the hospital for 5 weeks. 2 weeks for recovery, then moved to In patient rehab. I can walk about 35-45 steps with a quad cane, then I give out. I was gaining significant weight and was worried the diabetes was going to give me a 2nd stroke, so I started searching on KZbin and found Carnivore. I've been trying this for a couple of months and finding it extremely interesting. I'm more in tune with my body than ever in my life and having a cascade of health benifits as I go. @@kellykern4771 Good on you Kelly. After an extra 9 months since I posted that It's continuing to be a facinating journey to discover that the advice we've been bought up on is so flawed. I'm still enjoying many benifits of keto/ carnivore although I expect at some point my body might be looking for trace nutrients of some kind. I did have a patch where I craved beetroot and indulged in a few meals of canned salmon with some chunks of beetroot included. That passed and I'm enjoying lamb at the moment that was supplied through my sisters farm. There's lots of delicious cuts and it's nice to know where the animal comes from. It's also working out to be extremely cheap living as far as food goes. I'd love to compare the emission footprint with regards to the vegan narrative too. I expect my lifestyle is far more ecologically sound than what they are claiming.

@FightingFury2023 From what I'm discovering the biggest threat to my health is continuing with the idea that I was going to heal by eating a "Healthy" Mediterranean diet. I've left that idea behind due to the health benifits I'm experiencing now. You're right that things are always more complicated than we think, so I'm not going to expand on the ideas because all "narratives" are abstractions and subject to infinite delusions even though there are plenty of scientists and doctors that are demonstrating that saturated fats and red meat are unlikely sources of failing health in Western populations. Your misplaced concern for me is noted. Of course we're all on the path to death. There's plenty of evidence in my life at the moment that the change I made is probably extending my life as opposed to your theory. There's also a woman in Canada who's been carnivore for about 50 years in her 80s. She could pass for a woman half that age. Maybe it's genetics, maybe some people thrive on very different things. I don't know the answers outside of my personal experience. I'm guessing that market interests, politics and ideology have polluted science much more than we collectively understand, particularly in the area of nutrition. If you haven't tested what it's like to break carb addiction. You're not even in the race to understand anything in the nutritional world though...

So far I have felt lethargic and sick to my stomach. However, I was expecting this because I’m not used to eating high fat food. I have severe IBS and bad period cramp. I haven’t had flare ups and I was lucky enough to start yesterday and my cramps are way way way better. Like I’m not bed ridden. I haven’t lost weight yet but most people don’t see an extreme positive change until about 5-7 days in. I know it’s hard but keep going! ❤️

Make sure your pancreas is working properly otherwise you will never get the gut issue fixed. There is a stool test : pancreatic elastase. Ask your doctor for it. If your pancreas isnt working properly, your doctor will recommend you taking in pancreas powder from animals to fix it. If you check your stool and it (the fat) swims on the surface of water. The fat content is to high. It will be a tool for you to check, if you can digest the fat or not.

I'm on high fat carnivore right now and I'm 5 days in. I did Atkins many years ago and had huge success, so I'm familiar with the concept of eating tons of animal products. I'm mainly eating beef because chicken is too bland and pork is only interesting when I have a craving for it. I can't eat eggs because they make me nauseated and I can't stand the smell. I'm sticking to black coffee with full fat heavy cream. It helps with the fat intake and I love the taste of it plus I refuse to give it up because it doesn't hurt me in any way. As for seasonings, I don't think I'll ever be able to do beef/salt/water only. So I'm bbqing all my beef with Himalayan pink salt, pepper and a sprinkling of garlic powder. It gives me just enough flavour to enjoy my food without throwing me out of fat burning. My son and I disagree on this point, but it was he who gave up carnivore the last time because it was too strict and he couldn't deal with the sweet cravings. I've shed 3.9 kg (8 lbs) in the 5 days I've been doing it and I feel like a million bucks.

So you're stuck on protein drinks. It's just a period of my life that makes staying healthy & fit not fun at all. Before military it was fun. I have to get back to that...make it enjoyable or at least pretend. One if the KZbinrs I saw made it look fun because you also save money. So to me that is fun. Another great video Kait! Have you read Nina Teicholz's book The Big Fat Surprise? I really think this should be required reading not just for anyone interested in health and nutrition but if you eat. Okay I think EVERYONE should read it. I was born in 1958 and have lived through the move to processed, simple, quick, foods, then the move to "low fat" and diet sodas.. Simultaneously I witnessed obesity, cancer, IBS, Celiacs, exponentially rise. As corn & corn oil began replacing many natural ingredients health dropped. Ms Teicholz's book reads somewhere between a text book and a detective novel. It is fact filled and never boring. It perfectly explains where the American diet went wrong. If you haven't read it I promise you'd love it.

I just started the Carnivore diet almost a week ago. I am at this point craving carbs! I can't wait to get over the hardest 2 weeks.
Researching where? The way I see it vegans and carnivore dieters are always going to be biased, there is no question about that. The thing is given all of the vast amounts of data, studies and information available, vegans have way more plausible and watertight arguments. Anyone who wasn't cloaked in cognitive dissonance and could sit on the fence and look at these videos and pick a winner, would pick veganism and a plant based diet all day long! People see it as a familiar and easy way to lose weight, but its the same difference as using cocaine and cigerettes or a healthy diet. Most carnivore diet supporting evidence is based on anecdotes and very ropey industry supported studies. Can you find one, just one credible unbiased peer reveiwed study??🤷♂️ Try reading how not to die by Dr Michael Gregor, its full of them!

I really hope that works out for you, because it’s not done great things for the health of the nation so far has it.
@LethalOwl7 ай бұрын
@bbybeatboxx There’s a LOT of money at stake for both food and medical industries if people actually got into eating healthy. So no wonder there’s a lot of missing studies, at least if you’re not searching for them. That being said, you say all we have is almost just anecdotes. How many anecdotes are enough for you before it sounds like a reasonable idea? The only people I see that directly oppose carnivore are activists and people who got a vested interest in not losing money in medicine and other shitty foods. Because a lot of money would dry up for the food and medical industry very quickly, if people turned carnivore in large amounts. So far I’ve seen extremely few cases of people having a bad experience with long-term use of carnivore diets, only short term problems because of the sharp change in diet. I think I’ve seen enough "anecdotes" to convince me. Also I hate activists, so if eating more meat pisses them off, so much the better.

I drink coffee with natural heavy cream. I love it, I can't do my carnivore diet without dairy, I wouldn't survive it, and without coffee I don't even want to try it. I recently started adding grass fed butter and a pinch of salt into my coffee in the mornings for that boost of energy and electrolytes, personally I don't see the issue in adding this to the diet. Anything from an animal should be allowed, and coffee is extremely beneficial in my opinion.

With you~ every word Giovanni. That said, everyone's different, & that's just fine too. Some strict carnivores enjoy coffee, others won't "because it's a plant". The same thing could be said for herbs & spices, which I use a lot of, & not willing to do w/out them. If my husband & I are feeling this great, then I've got nothing to fix. His favorite food is NY Strip, which we buy 150 lbs of when it goes on sale for $5-$7 lb (once or twice a year in our area), so he gets that at least 3 times a week, along w/plenty of bacon/eggs/chicken~ which he also loves. He's free of all gut meds, statins, pre-diabetic diagnosis, & his labs are ideal. He's also lifting as much as he did at 30 yrs old, & he's now 61. After 34 yrs in the military, carrying the stress of the free world, I want nothing more than for him to enjoy retirement w/unparalelled good health & everything else he enjoys~ carnivore plays a huge part, & can be the version of it that works for each individual. As for what's "allowed", that's up to each of us to do our own research & experimentation~ we're adults, not trying to fit into some kind of 'club' here, seriously. Folks need to calm down on the minutia, imho. Life is good w/meat =) Take care~ thx for the tip on salt & butter in morning coffee, I've been meaning to try that. - Dan & Samantha in AZ

When I was 19, I lived in an apartment that didn't have a working stove, nor did I have a microwave. I got myself a hotplate and that's it. I remember I ate mostly ground beef and only jogged a mile a day, but weighed my lowest weight ever. I know I also had sugar free everything in the place and fat free milk and raisin bran. I ate the beef mixed with a can of tomato salsa and inside a tortilla. So, it wasn't fully carnivire, yet that was my skinniest time period. Almost 2 years ago I did a similar diet where I ate ground beef mixed with green zucchini, onions and garlic, and ate it like a taco with corn tortillas. I jogged 2 miles a day and lost 14lbs in a month. So I don't think it has to be completely 0 carb. I'll always eat the beef inside a corn tortilla, and it seems to work great for me. I'm watching this video because I decided to start the diet again. I've been bloated every night and want to lose my final post-partum 10lbs. So far today I feel fine and my tummy isn't bloated

The government literally took fat away from the Human race for decades. Because the Human brain is made out of pure fat. And the less fat you eat, the faster your brain deteriorates. Nervous system and brain problems literally occur from a lack of animal fat. IT'S PURE EVIL. PURE EVIL.

@@Ritalie The human brain is just under 60% fat, but it mostly uses glucose for food. By cutting carbohydrates you push the brain to use ketones as well as glucose, which is beneficial for prevention of dementia. I’m 68 and I have no serious health issues, I’m at my perfect bodyweight and I work out. What I want is more energy! I have felt that something about my diet was pulling my energy down. I am one week to carnivore and I’ve got interesting feelings coursing within me. Things that might bloom into exactly the kind of energy. I’m looking for to make my life the best it can possibly be. I love retirement, I only need good energy to live my best life.

Rib steak is my favourite but at almost $52 a kg and rarely on sale…I don’t get to enjoy it very often. I probably eat equal amounts of beef, pork and chicken. Less of the pork probably but it’s the best price for affordability. I also drink coffee and I’m not going to stop. Two a day…each with 1/2 tsp of sugar and 18% coffee cream. I love it, it’s delicious!

cheeses etc with lactose (or lactose free) all have sugars.. and you WILL find that it will put a halt to any weight loss etc as it spikes insulin. Cheese is a modern food and you dont need it. If you find yourself craving cheese it means you are still carb/sugar dependant.

Great video. Just one thing, regarding potassium. You need minimally 4800 mg of potassium daily, and you need this in a 4:1 ratio of potassium to sodium. Meaning you should aim more for 1tsp of salt (1500mg sodium) and 6000 mg of potassium. This allows the sodium potassium pumps throughout our body to properly work.
@lisaa3978 Жыл бұрын
Please please give a meal plan example that provides that ratio. How do you achieve it? 🙏 Thank you
@daveyboy924 Жыл бұрын
@@lisaa3978 very easy Lisa. 7-10 cups of vegetables prior to your protein would achieve this. Oh wait, this is carnivore. A little trickier. You will have to simply buy a potassium citrate powder. Don’t buy LMNT or any of those other pre-blended electrolyte powders. They don’t have the correct ratios and are flooded with high sodium and low potassium/bad sugar alcohols that spike your insulin making you fatter. Mix your potassium citrate (3000 mg and higher dose) with 1 tsp of salt(500-1000mg sodium/chloride), 300 mg of magnesium Glycinate, 4 tbsp of apple cider vinegar, and 1 squeezed lemon. Thank me later when you feel amazing and start shedding weight.
@bunjicarlin1 Жыл бұрын
@lisaa3978 You can achieve this by using Pink Salt, Cream of Tartar for potassium or a product I use called "Nu Salt" its basically potassium.for every 32oz of water I drink I add 1/8 teaspoon of pink Salt and three or four 1/8 teaspoons of Nu salt which provides roughly 1000-1200mgs of potassium.

I'm still pretty new to the diet. But, I've tried a few things to see if they work. I integrated chicken and felt terrible with indigestion and bloating that went away within 2 days of eating nothing but beef when I first started eating this way. Today, I cooked a pork loin basted in butter. Seems as if it's not nearly as bad as chicken but still a little unsettling to my stomach. Beef has not caused any digestive upset for me at all besides a few instances of loose stool which Many experience. I've noticed that the chicken I eat today is nothing like the flavorful chicken I had as a kid in the 80s and 90s though. It's tougher and has a woody texture with poor flavor.
@teresastanton1140 Жыл бұрын
And watch if when you cook it that means the chicken has been bleached because it was out in the cooler too long ... So they bleach it to kill any bacteria. GROSS 😤☹️🤨

I am glad you mentioned bone marrow. I don´t know if you can get bone marrow in the US, Iam from Argentina and we can get it. Bone marrow is the place of the body where the blood and all the immune system cells are made. So, it is not classical fat. It has all the minerals and factors needed to survive. There is a theory that primitive man survived basically on bone marrows.

Something I’ve found very helpful is easing into carnivore rather than diving in cold turkey. I’m now 2 weeks in and almost fully carnivore. I started out including lots of fruits like bananas, apples, oranges, pears, some veggies like broccoli and corn, and occasional junk food. I’m not overweight, but I did frequently indulge in junk like soda especially rootbeer, Doritos, cheesits, and so on. I was hesitant to jump into carnivore, so I’ve been easing into it. I’m just now finishing my case of rootbeer so I don’t have to battle with my cravings any more, and at this point I don’t even have a craving or desire for any junk. I’ll still add in a banana for breakfast occasionally, maybe a cup of coffee. I’ve also found that caffeine combined with water does a lot to curb any hunger I might feel, though I rarely ever feel hungry anymore. I wake up, make me breakfast at around 10am, go to work, and I might have a light hunger by the time I get home and make dinner at 10pm.
