I loved seeing Ellie represent Winnie to the jump again. Because when she did, Winnie had learned to pick her feet up and round over the jump better. Perfect schooling jump for Winnie! Scope. Winnie has it in spades. She's a touch lazy? But most gifted horses lean that way because they don't worry about the challenge of the obstacle. If you watch through Winnies top line, especially from mid-rib forward? She stretches through it naturally where Jam is a bit more flat with less of a bascule over the taller questions. That flat topline is what makes those strides feel "long" when you reach the fence because the horse isn't using a stretching arc with their topline over it, they're springing up and jumping more square. Winnie could go higher, jump wider than her mother just because she flexes through her topline so well. Brilliant on Ellie for returning immediately to that dropped rail exactly as it was when Winnie popped it, a display of Winnie not only not being worried about it, but learning from the mistake and placing herself better with Ellie slowing her and bringing her more "up" into her hand through the line the second time. I LOVE watching these sorts of videos. I won't say Winnie should be competing higher than she is, I don't think that would be wise, Winnie is working out her coordination still but, that said? You'll be hard pressed to overmatch Winnie as you move her through the ranks in the future. Great video as always (Chefs kiss)

That was so cool to watch. Winnie was amazing. I was totally fixed on Jam’s knees though, the way she just gives an extra inch as she is half way over. I can’t wait to see them both out competing again. Ellie has got nerves of steel.

I had the SAME reaction to Jam’s knees! They are so lovely and hiked up to her chin when she starts jumping bigger. But then for the biggest fence she tucked them away as if they were an airplane’s landing gear! 😳

I love the show vlogs, training, foals etc but nothing compares to the feel of just playing ponies in the sun and having a laugh. This reminded me of vlogs like the thanksgiving one with that turkey outfit, jumping bear over those christmas trees etc🤣 Whinnie is definitely going places. Her progress is noticable everytime we see her. She's mega just like her mama! I cant wait til its her turn around badders👀🥰

Winnie will out perform jam in time. Her scope is massive. And fabulous to see her being faced with a fence. She had to use her brain as well as her brawn. She’ll think about that and take on smaller fences with new ability. But yes time to step her up a section. As to electric seats. I think it’s Connie’s. I had a Connie cross mare who was whizz and no brakes too. Point and shoot and mostly just close your eyes !😳

Totally agree. Winnie is the one I feel will go the farthest and will soon get bored at lower levels ... though you also dont want to overface and scare her. Ots time for Meg to step up a level. She is good enough and Winnie is going to need it! Time to breed Jam again, maybe with even a embryo recip mare so she can keep competing. Just my 2 cents...or 2 pence. ;)

Wow, Ellie has NO fear! She will literally get on ANY horse/pony and jump however high you set the jumps! 😮 I NEVER had that kind of courage, even in my teens or twenties. I would jump 1.20 m on MY horse, but not a strange horse I’ve only ridden for ten minutes😂 I actually got much braver in my late 20’s through most of my 30’s. But turning 40 and then hitting perimenopause put a damper on that. I’m currently happy with .80m after taking a six year riding hiatus due to family health issues. I’d Mike to get back up to 100cm, but we shall see. I am MUCH more fragile now than I used to be…. But I quite enjoyed this video Meg. You’ve got some wonderful, scopey, ponies AND you and Ellie are both great riders! (I wish Ellie’s courage could be bottled and sold; I’d buy a bottle for sure!❤)

I just finished watching Tina’s BE 100 event at Launceton (which was fab!), and then YOUR vlog popped up! Haven’t watched it yet, but I know it will be great. I love -and follow- ALL of you, but you are my absolute favorite, Meg! Been following you for something like two years now (of course I binge watched all of your vlogs from the first one to catch up!😂) I don’t even know how I came across your channel, as an American hunter/jumper rider, but I’m SO glad I did! You got me really interested in eventing, so much so that I updated my cross country jumps at my farm ( I had those jumps built back in 2005 or so just for fun for me and my boarding -aka “livery”- clients), have added MORE obstacles, and have even purchased some arena eventing jumps. Probably trying to start eventing at age 47 is silly, but why not try in between hunter/jumper shows? 😅) Anyway, I did end up starting to follow your friends here on YT, but you are still my absolute favorite KZbinr! ❤ Now I’m going to watch the vlog….
