When my friend told me to play this game, I was utterly confused because I didn't think parkour could be a good party game. BOY WAS I WRONG. It never was actually. For some mysterious reason it somehow got announced for October 2017 on a Japanese Nintendo Direct, but we have no idea where they got that from because we definitely never even dreamed of getting it out as early as that.

Im looking at this again, and realized the version of Nuclear Plant at 1:48 looks different, with the goal being moved and the stairs much steeper. Maybe this is a beta version of the level that somehow got mixed up in the footage? Who knows!

Nice catch! Yes you're absolutely right, it was the best footage we had and we made some changes after it was recorded and the trailer was put together. We found that having the flag down there made it so that nobody used the top half of the level, and when we tried it with the two separate paths to the finish it was more interesting. Good attention to detail ;)

There really isn't a clear-cut answer to this. It starts with the concept phase, where the idea of an animal is translated into the game's style, with considerations about color palette, shape and proportions, different stances for idling / walking / running etc. This can take quite a bit of trial-and-error. Once those parameters are fleshed out, there's the actual illustration / animation work to do. We use frame-by-frame animation, and each frame is hand-drawn. It's rare to get everything right on the first try, too, so that's hundreds of drawings. And then once that's done, we also need to come up with concepts for costumes, and go through the process of drawing those onto the character's frames. Finally we need to record the animal's various "lines" of audio, have those tweaked to taste, then balanced and integrated into the game. All in all, it's a pretty lengthy endeavour!

Will the game be updated to take some of the weird bugs it has? It sometimes crashes on the nintendo switch and at some points it frame lags really bad. It is still a fun game but would be so much better if these few bugs were fixed.

Yes, we're working on a fix and will be putting it out as soon as possible. We think we've solved it, or at least made it much much better, but it has to pass through certification again with Nintendo.

Unfortunately not, all of the dance animations are drawn by hand, like all of the animations in the game. What that means is that each frame is done by hand for each character, making over 100 frames per character. If we wanted to do another dance animation for a character, we'd have to do it ourselves. Sorry!

I love the new update, but I as a console player cannot get any of the new maps let alone the new character. I have witnessed only one person get the new monkey character from a box, but other than that, I haven't been able to get anything or see anything new from the boxes, Could you perhaps try to fix this? Because I would love to be able to experience the rest of the new stuff that I've been missing out on. (Although this comment probably won't even be viewed by you or even others, I was just looking to raise awareness for a possible bug, Thanks.

Hey! We definitely see this comment, and yes we know about the bug. In fact, we fixed it today and are going to try to push it out to PS4, XboxOne and PC as soon as possible, hopefully as early as tomorrow or the next day. For Switch, there have been reports of crashes which we're looking into, so that one won't likely be updated right away (but we're working on it as fast as possible!).

This is a known bug and a fix should be out for it on PS4, XBoxOne and PC within the next 48h. As for the Switch, mystery boxes can reportedly cause crashes - we're also working on that, but it will take longer to get the patch through Nintendo, as usual.
