I remember when my nephew started talking my sister and her husband and my nephew lived in Indiana and I live in North Carolina and every time I talked to him he kept saying Nina Nina that's what he calls me to this day and he just turned 22.. When our kids were young and wanted to help clean, I would give them a vinegar/water spray and put them in charge of baseboards, doorknobs and walls (obviously only as high as they could reach). They were so proud to be heppin by keenin. It was so cute but also got them from underfoot while I cleaned.

That rice dish reminds me of Spanish rice. Not a fan of sun dried tomato. I remember momma use to pour home canned tomatoes in the rice, I suppose that’s why I don’t care for them as much, we were poor and it was cheap and filling. Times were hard but we were loved. I made your crockpot beef stew recipes but instead of dumplings I made buttered Amish egg noodles to go with beef stew. We loved this recipe. Thank for sharing.
