Mike, excellent videos... One question: would it be possible to have a list of all the dimensions?

Do you have any drawn out plans for this desk?

Probably a little late for me to be answering, but I plan to draft out the legs (or some legs) here in the coming month or so. The idea is to have the legs cut via cnc so they’re all identical. There’s no way I could get them close enough by hand for my OCD brain to not be bothered. Of course my angles and layout will change a bit from the video, but I will still be using the same techniques.

If you have anything sketched out, you should throw a link to make it downloadable. Amazing stuff.

@1:15 - the arrow shows the spin direction of the bit - anti-clockwise viewed from above - not the direction you should move it against the workpiece. The cutting edge of the bit should be running against the direction of travel, not with it. In other words if you were working from right to left, then that was the wrong way. Aside from being dangerous, this might explain the roughness of the finish. The quality of the router bit (if bundled with a €50 router) probably doesn't help (a decent router bit can cost nearly that on it's own). As others have pointed out, hearing and eye protection mandatory with any of these power tools! Nice finished result though.

Excellent series of videos. Given me some great ideas as I was looking for a bigger desk. It would be good to have a list of all the tools you used in the description. Oh yeah, thanks for the music in the 90s, timeless classics that I still listen to.

Hi Mike. I really enjoyed watching how you built this magnificent desk. I know I am not the first one to ask, but to happen to have detailed drawings included measurement in cm? Also pictures of the desk in use? Thanks a million in advance. Alejandro (Belgium)

Great videos. Just wanted to ask - are you sure you're going the right direction with the router? I'm pretty sure that's the SPIN direction, not feed direction. I've always learned to go "counter-clockwise" around an object, and feed from right to left when using a table router. I think this is the reason it was so rough, you're not pushing the blade towards the wood, and the router is able to push itself out.

I think you've got the feed direction of the router wrong! Also, you need hearing protection when using a router! Otherwise, nice job!
