Note to people going into the crackhouse: the room upstairs facing stronghold with the cubed windows can be shot into. AI Scavs will sometimes mount the machine guns on the Stronghold and they will with near 100% guarantee kill you through the glass if you are in that room, or on the hallway behind it. Go prone under the windows and crawl out if you hear the scav on the MG shooting at you.

Players can also use the gun ... u are also not safe in the Room behind the Glas ... i killed tons of Timmys and normal player with the MG

Follow-up note, if a mounted gun scav spots you in that room you're dead anyways, because the mounted gun can wall bang you now so going prone doesn't matter.

29:20 I'm shooting myself in the foot to tell people this but since it's a newbie guide, I might as well pass on some knowledge. Twice, in that green weapon box, I've found a Red Rebel. Absolutely worth checking whenever you can. I know this is labelled the ultimate guide but there's tons, and I mean tons of secrets that Pest has glossed over. It's a very good guide though. Perhaps the ultimate introduction to Customs.

True customs is one of the most underrated maps for loot. Made so much because NO ONE checks any of the boxes and spawns most of the time

@@bellywash6684 It's an excellent map. This wipe I've found 2 LedXs there. One on the ground at a tech spawn near the "gun car" and another in the gym bag behind the barbed wire and bushes near the pocket watch truck. I'm usually full with good loot 12k+ per slot within 5 minutes and I'm stuck debating what to keep and what to drop. Also, there are multiple spawns for armour repair and weapon repair kits. I've pulled a few dozen of each so far from Customs. It's a magical map. Cheers friend.

Not to be a hater or anything, but red rebel has a chance to spawn in any 5x5 weapon box, and gym bags can spawn just about anything. It’s not soecific to Customs, you just got lucky with it on Customs :)

Loot isnt generated like that, that green weapon box doesnt have a a higher % to spawn good items then any others.

Great guide! I'm under a 1000hr mark so still in the tutorial, thanks for the insights! Worth noting that the in-game map as well as the little minimap that Pestily is showing are both australian. If you're used to north being on the top of the map, you'll have to turn it upside down (or use a different map). It really messed with my orientation back in my very first starting days when I was just learning the map with a compass and whatever I had on hand.

It’s funny about those intel spawns in Crackhouse, I have never seen anyone I watch playing Tarkov ever find intel there. Everyone points out it’s an intel spawn but no one finds any. Thanks for the guides. Even though I watch everyone they don’t explain why they are looking there or even what they are looking for.

when customs expansion came out that place was almost guaranteed at least one intel, now its pretty rare, ive only found one there after being the first to check it about 20 times

Had no idea Reshala could spawn at fortress til I tapped him from the train tracks by old gas and just thought he was a scav, was on my way to extract at ZB13 and didnt even realize it was him until the post raid screen lol

Y’all veterans got any tips for completing delivery to the past? I’ve done it twice so far, getting the item is no problem for me, but both times I’ve tried to drop it off I’ve died to tagilla (pretty sure that’s his name, boss with big helmet) on factory. Not sure if I’m just unlucky? I wanna get this shit done so I can start in getting my epsilon container, I’m lvl 20 in like 20 days, beta is too small thanks (also I’m pretty sure my lvling is slow as bricks, got gear fear like crazy)

Being relatively new to Tarkov, I still tend to make some dumb moves and get myself whacked in the process. Instead of throwing a fit whenever that happens, I'm somehow compelled into making these mental (and sometimes visual) after-action reports regarding what went wrong and what habits to change. like 99.9999% that the hill sniper scav no longer spawns. ALSO my group calls construction sniper Jesus, high up sniper is God, and the loose loot building near ZB-1012 is Jesus (spanish name sounding like Hey-Zeus). Easier for call outs

I have played just over a week. My routine so far is play scav while learning map, get a decent loadout, play one offline as PMC to practice muscle memory, then die randomly to snipers, landmines and yes, cheaters. At 43 I'm not near as good as when I was 17 but I can tell when a cheater kills me. Tarkov needs a replay function.

Hey Pestily, I was following your guide and noticed something. If I open the map in mapgenie, and use the compass in-game, it seems the directions are inverted. If you stand on smugglers boat looking down the river, according to the map we're looking south, but the compass points north. Only map I noticed this happening. Do you know if its a bug?

The fastest and easiest way is taking all the car extracts on the maps. After doing all of them you should be around 4.00 rep just from that. I could be wrong, but I think you can take the car about 3-4 times for the rep (diminishing returns after your first extract)

Thats not Dorms anymore how it was. U doesnt get that much PVP anymore. There are just rooms and u have to shoot. Factory runs, helps u a lot... to get better in PVP or a bit of Arena. you dont have to stay in Dorms for more then over 4min. if u just have a quest... thats the reason why many people are struggeling. Go in , grab youre quest, go out... and u dont have to Go Dorms in the first 10min. of the game ... just chill

Yes, one can spawn at the far corner extract or crossroads side and one can spawn In big red, do be wary of that. To mention as well there are places inside of big red that allows you to see into trailer park/the two back exfills.

It's a good starting point for newbies but it's a far cry from ULTIMATE beginners guide. You glanced over a lot of things and casually dropped words, that most people probably won't understand and get confused about if anything. Also you barely showed the factory shortcut and the possibility to jump over the blue car and porta potty in that area and where these routes lead to (also from new gas side point of view). You sped up towards the end of the video and also provided no time stamps for people who are looking for specific locations and POIs. 7/10
