To everyone getting stuck on getting the flask in the box for the cryo upgrade like me, to switch ammo mod on the DIE machine you have to go to the area you got each mod from initially to pick up again. To get the default shockwave back, return an ammo mod to its corresponding container and it will revert back to shockwave. Good luck everyone :)

Not sure of any other ways and the upgrades you can just get from the boxes you originally get them from since you can only have one upgrade on them at a time.

I would like to point out something that milo didn’t mention, when you’re collecting items for the upgraded wonder weapon you’re able to do more than one thing each time you go, for example when milo is explaining the fuse step for the fire upgrade he says that you have to wait for another portal to spawn but that’s incorrect after picking up the fuse from under the plane you can run directly to dead shot and place the fuse all in one go, this also applies for the thunder upgrade if you’re fast enough you can shoot the box 2 times after sucking the yellow crystals all in one go, hope this helps

I would like to confirm this i just got the flask the canister and the fuse all in 1 trip. I started to do the crystals but got knocked so really I think all are possible in 1 go except needing to do 3 for the crystals. It really saves time and rounds for people don't want to get to high of a level an be to hard.

I can also confirm that in order to spawn the plasma cutter it has to be the portal next to the fungus triggered after finding the ghosts and entering the computer password. Just replicated this multiple times.

The electric WW mod step can be done in one go btw. You can suck up all three crystals in one run. You need stamin-up to do it but it's very possible. As soon as you start the aether, run through deadshot room, you'll go to the other realm by that time. Run to swamp and get that crystal. Run to box and shoot it. Run through speed cola and get crystal in the crash site. Run back same route and shoot it. Then run through power room and up stairs for the third crystal. You'll be able to suck it up in time. You'll then teleport back to real world. (Note: you don't have to be in aether realm to shoot the crystal at the box. As long as you have it sucked up you can complete this step.)

Little tip for boss fight, you can pick up the electric upgrade for the die Shockwave while in the boss fight. So use 1 of the other 3 until you run out of ammo, than pick up the electric for full ammo.

I made the mistake of not focusing and I ended up getting past round 35 and dying on the 2nd to last part. I then tried it the next day and I ended up only having to survive 19 rounds. Easter egg was completed on round 20. I think I just got lucky though because I multitasked a lot, doing more than 1 thing while having 1 zombie left.

His location of parts are great but all his other advice i ignore. He's a multiplayer person and thats not how you play zombies. The fact that he doesn't even use or mention the knife proves it. The knife is an instant kill til round 16 or 18 and completely overpower any weapon. Even the special ones need a couple seconds to kill a zombie. The knife is the only true instant kill. You just need to practice with it. The game changes into a real zombies game with the knife. With all the gun crap and mods he's saying is a waste of time. I used 1 knife and 2 perks and I kept up and surpassed other players with massive guns. Zombies is a knife game. Guns make it like multiplayer. Of course you ll need a gun (eventually) but just get an automatic and pap and you're good.

Fun fact: For now, with an max upgraded Aether Shroud, you can teleport through the pink barrier in the boss fight and go to the pond area. This will skip the boss fight after 45 seconds and then the chopper will come to pick you up to finish the Easter egg.

Just a tip for when unlocking the electric upgrade box: Use a D.I.E ammo type that shoots a blast (normal, fire, nova-5) as the ice ammo type seems to not count when shooting the box with energy from the crystals.

Im hot a huge fan of some of the menus they put you through for buying things anf how short extraction time is but other than that I've had no issues with the gameplay. I just spent 2-3 hours on this Easter egg and failed to extract because when I went to jump across the platform in medbay a zombie climbed up and I got stuck on his head even though I was way over his head and when I hit the ground with the zombies head still in front of me I jumped at it threw me to the left and I went into a lighting beam and died. Treyarch you’ve made such a remarkable game I’m so glad that you spawn zombies even though it’s a lightning extract. It’s just truly incredible

Ok please pin this. DO NOT DO THE LAST AETHER GHOSTS STEP BEFORE THE BOSS FIGHT WITH THE PICTURE BEFORE YOU WANT TO GO IN THE BOSS FIGHT. I did that with my friend like 5 rounds prior to when we wanted to go in but the game got glitched out and we couldn’t finish the Easter egg. Basically when you do it prior to wanting to go in the picture is initially there but after a couple rounds the picture disappears and you never get an aether portal to redo it in the future

@@athen_walkerr It took me quite a few attempts to do. Try saving a zombie each round and if you have to(I’ve done it A LOT) try pausing the game and following the guide depending on what step you’re on.

Also, the enemies get harder as the rounds go on. I had to buy chopper gunners and self revives before megaton would spawn.

Brain rot is the best pack a punch attachment thing, BUT it can be an annoying one if you need to save a zombie. I’d suggest on stacking up on points and perks before you do major Easter egg steps, and before you do the final boss thing to escape, be sure you have everything stocked up and everything is good to go. My favorite lb/rb or l1/r1 thing is the dark aether thing because it makes reviving teammates so much easier and gets you out of a pinch (such as you getting swarmed by zombies and can’t move).

Just completed the Easter egg, took 24 rounds but made for a a good fight with maxed out gear and weapons. This Is by far the best video for anyone trying to complete a first playthrough! Just be sure to get the ice wonder weapon upgrade first or it could bug out and make you restart!

Hey dude, My friend found something not related to the easter egg and I wanted to know if someone else has found the same thing. In the room underneath the computer where you input the password theres a zombie barricade/window. If you look inside there’s buttons on the walls next to the doors and if you shoot those buttons while in the Aether they will light up green and a door will open on the left side revealing a giant hand reaching out before closing back up. Is this just a random thing they put in or?
