Ordered! 😂🎉 I do a lot of ceiling mounted stuff in the drum cage at my church and always love saving the floor real estate when space is limited. So this only made sense in my home recording studio since I record vocals and occasionally will record Drums in there. Thank you for the reminder something as simple as this because I’m all about functionality and cleanliness while tracking. 🙏🏼

I've had this exact "mod" on my list for a while now. Overhead stands are the biggest pain to navigate around in my studio.

I just picked up some Tama stands largely by your recommendation. You did not steer me wrong. Amazing!

by tama do you mean triad orbit? I don't think i have any tama stands.

@@AndrewMasters I know you've mentioned the Tama mic stands from studio tours on your channel. Thought I'd give you a shoutout.

I'm curious about the "Orbit" clamp. Would it clamp down on a 1/2 inch pipe as well? I actually have the same exact setup but, I use the "on-stage" clamp. Love the channel and great info. Thank you!

I would go with the IO-Equipped Savior Grip Clamp Mini for a 1/2"

Great idea in a small space I did the exact same thing, but out of 2x4’s. And I used desktop mic stands. Way cheaper.

Hey Andrew, when you say you 've got the phase aligned, is that according to the snare or the middle of the kit? Isn't the right microphone (viewers perspective) closer to the snare than the left one?

The snare

Very cool mod to your room for sure and that hardware looks rad. Some constructive criticism - I guess most people have more time than I, but that intro is super long and as a video editor, you could have gotten by with half the video length cuz there's a lot of non-essential elements in there. Anyway, maybe you're going for a more 'lifestyle' sort of thing, I dunno. Cheers.

This is a video, not a short. Keep it long.

@@B---------------------------D hey whatever works for you / Andrew. just offering my 2 centimes. i just didn't expect such a long vid for such a quick topic - its more of like a 'hang', which is cool for a lot of people.
@itsstudiotime10 күн бұрын
Yeah I feel you - I personally think the intro is too long as well. The rest of the video is just how it goes, I don't generally mr. beastify my videos. They tend to be long form so I can give context, details, and demonstrations. Especially as these topics are VERY niche.
