Nice build! If the racking continues to be a problem, consider running a piece of all-thread down the center of the long extrusion and put a nut on each end. Pulling the extrusions together in the corner produces a much stronger joint than the L bracket with t-nuts alone. In a former job I was on a team that built industrial automation devices out of similar extrusion and bolting them directly together made a huge difference.

So cool, where can I get the parts and supplies list of what you did. I'd love the CAD files too if you're sharing. Happy to pay some for the info too.

Would it be possible to either send a link to the CNC files for the aluminum square tube columns that are attached to the hinges? Or could you please explain the internal design? I’m trying to figure out how the square tube part glides up and down so smoothly. Thank you! 🙏🏽

Brand new to screen printing. Great design. Looks like 20x20 would work for a 4' x 5' table. What do you think after working with yours for a while? Its always about money. Thank you so much for your work. Ron

I just found this build. how has it been holding up to printing? Would you be willing to share the plans for the build or the shopping list?
@ThisDesignedThat Жыл бұрын
holding up great, no plans im afraid , its just a simple rectangle and brackets from the cross section pieces. Super easy to build. Im going to be cutting this and the table in half next year though because i only screenprint up to A2 size paper these days and the huge table takes up far too much space.

The part where the clamps hold down the screens? I couldn't see as clearly as i'd like re; what you put under the clamps that the screen slot into underneath bringing it all together? eg. was it a section as long as the extrusion arms? or in sections at each end.? I'm thinking what i did see looked like it was quite thick? when you add a screen the off contact might be a tad too high? or is it ok? What is the thickness of that angle section underneath? and how high was the off contact?.....Cheers.....Peter
@ThisDesignedThat3 жыл бұрын
hi Peter (you dont work at Bainbridge in London by any chance?) The aluminum angle is 4-5mm thick so the off contact isnt affected too much. Off contact is fine and i actually raise mine more than that.

@@ThisDesignedThat Cheers matey. I'm having my top done as we speak based around your's. A couple of minor tweeks. I'm having small triangle wedge brackets in the corners, the engineer says the L brackets on top aren't much chop? I'll send through when done?. And no, i don't work in Londonia but i do from Sydney. And i wish i was a direct relation to Bainbridge board. LOL

@@ThisDesignedThat I actually dug through your videos afterwards and found you building your own. I'm thinking about getting back into screen printing (did years of professional textile printing back in the early 90s)... ...and want to build a vacuum table similar to yours. I've got a few ideas on details I would do differently, but your build is a great starting point 👍⭐⭐ I'd like to use both vacuum and registration pins as a starting point.

Just search for aluminum extrusion on Google and select a local seller

Very good idea. I actually plan to chop those bits off because they take up space. I'm going to be downsizing this table soon as I only print A3 size prints now
