The one point I did not mention that I thought of after I shot the video is the ability to play the DJI sim by just plugging in your phone to the goggles. That way we won't need to be by a computer and have the Goggles experience. Id love it if it was compatible with other sims too. @dji can we get a firmware update for this to work.

Great video thank you! Bit confused about max flight distance, I know re the height in UK set to 400ft but what should we set max flight distance to please? Unlimited?

Height and distance are both different. Distance should be within Visual Line of Sight but outside of cities you can likely fly further as less obstacles and interference. Max height would be 400ft but again there’s ways you can fly higher within regulations each vary per jurisdiction.

The v2 are compatible with O3, we are just waiting for Goggles 3 to be compatible with O3.

Good question. I didn’t get a chance to m include but I have done in my upcoming video. Essentially it’s your downward sensors telling you how close you are to the ground.

How can I recentre or trim the view when using head tracking between my Mini 4 pro and Goggles 3+RC Motion 3? I'm finding that the camera is pointing too far down when my head is level and I'm having to look too far up to compensate. The side to side is also slightly off. I've recalibrated the Goggles IMU and M4P camera gimbal but it makes no difference. Really there needs to be a mechanism to recentre or trim the camera to personal preference. I had thought the RC Motion 3 scroll wheel might act as a trim but no. Any thoughts? I've been through all the settings I can find.

@@DimmyV Thanks. I think a demo is needed on the best way to calibrate the Goggles IMU. I tried it yesterday with the goggles on my head (apart from the last orientation which is upside down). I think that has helped my issue but ability to "trim" the camera is what's really needed. How long does the Goggles, take to charge? I've been charging them for over two hours, with a 20w charger. I have a 65w charger charging my Avata 2 batteries, & 2 are already fully charged & the 3rd one is halfway done. I thought the Goggles would have taken less time, I still need to charge my Motion 3 controller. It doesn't seem to take this long, to charge my Goggles Integra.

Interesting, that seems defective as per your description. Have you turned them on to check the battery level and see if they hold charge? Try updating the firmware.

@DimmyV They charged up & work ok, with a 20w charger, they took about 2 & half hour's. The batteries for the Avata 2 took about 48 minutes each.

Would you say goggles 3 o4 is worth upgrading from the integras 03+? I intend to fly the Air 3 with integra. Haven't opened the Integra goggles yet...

If you just bought them then yeah take them back get a refund and get the Googles 3. If you can’t don’t stress. There’s no firmware yet for backward compatibility we’re still waiting on that.

@@DimmyV for the sake of o4? I don't fully understand. Firmware for the integra to be fully compatible with air 3 or goggles 3 to be updated for full compatibility with Air 3? And again, Only reason I can think of an upgrade is the O4 transmission, if that really makes a difference in connectivity? What other benifit is there with O4? Range, transmision data (not video quality?), stability of connectivity. What else?

You need to sync the drone to Goggles with both devices on hold the power button on goggles first for 5s till it starts beeping. Then hold the power button on drone for 5s until it starts beeping. When the beeping stops they should be synced. You will need to do same between with Goggles and Controller after.

Does any other non dji drones work with the googles 3? I'm learning to fly manual and would like to learn on a cheaper drone first, since I know it's going to end poorly the first few flights. I'm a few hours into liftoff simulator and still pretty rough.

At the moment no. Eventually I imagine there will be a firmware update. You probably better off with Goggles 2 atm. If you wanted a cheaper quad I recommend a Tinywhoop kit. The BetaFlight Cetus x or the Emax TinyHawk 2 are good options. Keep practicing in the sim. Even when you’re flying in real life rainy days when you want to fly sim is a good way to hone your skills

@scoobydew420 yeah for now. I’m literally waiting myself so I can use it with the GEPRC Mark 5 which is the O3 air unit. Also would like compatibility with RunCam Wasp. Just a waiting game 🫖

Δημήτρη γεια σου και πάλι.Απο το απόγευμα που τα εχω,δεν μπορώ να καταλάβω πως τα κανω link με το RC2 controler,για να μπορεσω να τα κανω activate.Εχουν μείνει εκεί μετα το tutorial και δεν μπορω να κανω firmware update,αφου η dji λεει να το κανω connect με τηλεφωνο κι απο εκει μεσω του fly app.Οταν εχεις ομως το RC2 που εχει built in το app,πως γίνεται????Please assist....

Βεβαιωθείτε ότι όλα είναι ενεργοποιημένα, κρατήστε πατημένο το κουμπί λειτουργίας στο Goggles για 5 δευτερόλεπτα και στη συνέχεια το RC3 για 5 δευτερόλεπτα. Όταν σταματήσει το ηχητικό σήμα, θα πρέπει να συνδεθούν. Πρέπει να κάνετε το ίδιο με το Avata 2 και το RC3. Για να ενημερώσετε το υλικολογισμικό, όλα πρέπει να είναι συνδεδεμένα και το τηλέφωνο να είναι συνδεδεμένο στο Goggles.

I got my Avata 2 today and the weather is terrible here too. So I thought I'd take the time to research all of the menus. Thanks for the guide! When I have bad weather sometimes I vacuum and mop the floors, then dry them by cruising around the house with my drones 😂

Please help anybody....Im brand new to FTV, I fly RC fixed wing aircraft in New Zealand. I just ordered DJI goggles 3 WITH runcam wasp and link. I am getting a bit concerned these may not be compatible, since I cant find a single video using this system on youtube. Has anybody tried these things together?
