🏰 36:06 oh I hope we get those back. They ran out last year so quickly and we don’t have that really cool big Victorian mansion house I just went to the dollar tree today it was looking pretty skimpy and not because the shelves were shopped I don’t think they got enough product yet I need to find out which store gets the most someone told me there was 115 minutes west of me that gets more items.
@howtomakeitwithlily Жыл бұрын
Look for the flagship stores closet to you. These are the Dollar Tree stores that usually have the most. You can call and ask the manager at your local DT too.

When making the candles I used a piece of toilet paper roll that I pushed down inside of my "candle" and hot glued to hold up the tea light. I glued the strip of the roll in sideways. That was helpful, I didn't have to cover the lump created by the zip tie with hot glue.

On the mini skeletons inside the domes, sitting fits better, my suggestion would be to vary the height of each sitting skeleton by using little wooden blocks or stacked up with glue cardboard to create little pedestals of different heights to sit the skeletons on. Then add moss glued on to cover the blocks or cardboard. This would help them fill up the top of the domes more. Great idea!

Please consider making your channel a children’s channel or possibly labeling each project as level one for ages 6-11, level two for 12-17 (some small power tools) and level three for adults (with larger peer tools). Luv the village too!

I love the wreath with skulls and BEWARE sign. The top skull looked like it had a bow tie by accident with how the ribbon bundle lined up under the top skull. It would be cool to pull ribbon in form of bowties under chin of each skull, if it doesn't work out, why not cut ribb9n bowties and glue them under the chins to form bowties? Looks AMAZING!!!

Besides the crowd pleaser haunted houses my favorite was the witch hat wreath. I learned so much watching your video. I have a wreath that went for $100's yes hundreds on Etsy but I got it for $8 at a yardsale. However leaving it in my car and my son's lack of . ... worrying about people's things, it needs refreshing. I now know how to do that with a simple trip to our dollar tree. Ok maybe not ours because ours is so small it might not have Halloween. Can I ask you about the nails, do they really stay on good or should I use nail glue? Thanks so much 🎃🎃🎃
@howtomakeitwithlily Жыл бұрын
Very nice! Happy the videos helped! The nails do stay on but I only use it for short times (a day or two). Depends on when you put it on. Best to do it before bedtime after washing and drying your hands well. I would also highly recommend for you to take the extras with you just in case if one does pop off. I try to do activities that don't involve getting my hands wet , if I am invited as a guest somewhere etc.

@@howtomakeitwithlily thanks so much. I need my nails done but my nails are so bad lately. I usually get gel polish and that's all because I've always had long nice nails. It's so expensive to get just a basic gel manicure. I do have to go to court for my divorce and I want my nails to be on point but don't want them popping off. I just want to remind my husband once again that he traded down by getting drunk and getting my best friend pregnant after 30 years together. 🙏😞

10:10 great explanation, great camera angles she really show the detail and options for people to get creative. What a cool chandelier. Skull ☠️ love!! I’ll probably use the golden yellow lights, and I have a fairly high ceiling over my dining room table, and I could probably put this there somehow, it’s great because he walked in the house to go into the living room and then the dining room is open to that area with two wooden built-in cabinets houses from the 1920s and I wood table it would make the chandelier stand out really well. I got to make this I’m hoping by the end of September I can get all the supplies I went to the dollar tree today and they didn’t have any of these yet. PS I am going to buy a bunch of these fencing pieces because I had five of them out front of my house and they look so great one of them broke and then I took a piece of cardboard in between the bottom, spike part and then hot, glued it, and it carefully put it back in the ground and it stayed together all Halloween 👻

I love your Witch hat wreath, but I do have a question (I want to make sure I have enough before I get started) Sorry, so my question is how many bundles did you use on your witch hat? Thank you and I can't wait to watch more of your video's 🙂
@howtomakeitwithlily Жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching and for your question! I don't know the number of bundles per say but if my memory serves me correctly, I think it was 2 rolls of mesh of the black rolls for the top half and 6 of the black for the bottom half. You may need 3 to 4 rolls of of the accent colors and maybe 2 of the ribbon rolls. Really depends on how full you want it. Hope this helps!

*_🤔11. Prison Domes🤔_* I'm wondering if sanding the slick parts where the *hands* connected with the *skull,* would have helped with the *hot glue* OR *glues* stick better? Now would it have helped if you would were to *heat up* the *_"elbows"_* areas then *bend them* in the desired angle you wanted, then place a *clips* on *heated area* allowing them to cool down before removing the clips, if needed, do this several times. Now would that have helped with the shaping and making the skeletons look more realistic? OR if you really wanted to go whole hog on this - buy tiny small metal rings - cut the skeletons at the *_"Neck"_* *_"Elbow"_* *_"Shoulders"_* *_"Hips"_* *_"Knees"_* *_"Ankles"_* *_"Wrists"_* areas, and attach all the *cut areas* with those tiny rings (paint the rings the color of skeletons). Then glue hands to skull to mimic 🙈🙉🙊 and all the skeletons 🩻 will wiggle and jiggle...or manipulate their skeletons the way you want... *_HALLOWEEN🫙SPECIMEN 🫙 JARS_* If you added cooking oil with the water or just oil and food coloring?
@howtomakeitwithlily Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! Yes those would work too. Another viewer also suggested to cut the joints then glue them to lesson the tension. For the specimen jars, adding the oil would also look pretty. Yes you can pain the eyeballs to lessen the glitter. I appreciate your comments!
