Doom has a button to run faster (and also turn the camera faster if you're using keyboard/controller, doesn't affect mouse speed tho)

You mean strafe running? Simple mate, basically u just need to hold forward+strafe at the same time and match with where u want to go

Hold run/speed and move across facing diagonally. You might have to practise it a bit but you'll get there eventually.
