Awesome build. I love how you bent the tubing. I love bending PETG, but still having trouble getting the measurements right with multiple bends.
@TristinTalksTech3 жыл бұрын
There’s a lot of math and thought that goes into bending, however, it’s more of a test of patience. PETG can be straightened after being bent. With symmetrical bends like these, you really only need to get one right, to use as a template.
@OlettaLiano3 жыл бұрын
@@TristinTalksTech Thanks for the reply. I'll keep on practicing.
@gregbirkett73993 жыл бұрын
@@OlettaLiano overmeasure. cut down as needed. You "can" just measure out the radius and circumference.. but it's easier to do it the former ;) (another simpler trick is to buy some cheap see-through hosing of the same diameter to use as a template to cut. shh.. dem's protips)
@OlettaLiano3 жыл бұрын
@@gregbirkett7399 I'm happy to say that in the last four months I've nearly gotten my tube bending down to a science. Now, if someday GPU prices come down to a sensible level, I can begin building PCs for people in my local area again.
@gregbirkett73993 жыл бұрын
@@OlettaLiano There's hope on the horizon with Intel making GPUs and adding a third Mfr to the list. "Maybe".. lol. Intel isn't exactly notorious for keeping things on the cheap, ya'know? But at least competition "should" help relieve things a bit. As far as crazy bends.. find something that won't be damaged by heat and won't melt enough to cause the PeTG to pick up anything OFF it and use it as a bending tool. PVC pipe works great and can get it dirt cheap if you buy shorter sections. I've used broomhandles, glass bottles, 2x4s, table legs and all sorts of strange things in the past. comes out pretty cool tho. Did a coil wrap with a 2x6 one time.. turned out pretty awesome.

On a non-modded Core P8, can you still leave the top radiator/fan tray in.. while the front glass panel and rear are removed? Basically, I'm asking if it is possible to have a radiator on top and side at the same time. I don't want the front glass and rear panel on. I wish to use this case in "OPEN AIR" mode. I hope this makes sense. Thanks
