What i like about Wu they have a underdog vibe even more the shu. All their officers have so many distinct personalities compared to even Wei and Definitely more then goody good shu, and they feel more ragtag. Which also is why they fizzle out towards the end. Wu will always be my fave even if it will never be Koei's fave

Always excited for this series! It felt very nice to hear some appreciation for Gan Ning, Lu Xun, Ling Tong, Lu Meng, and Lu Su (too bad he ended up in the `C` tier). I got a little worried that Ding Feng got close to getting a very bad score at one moment. I feel like people dunk on Han Dang a bit too much as well :( Also, isn't it mind-boggling that Wu has only gotten one S-tier warrior when Shu and Wei got 3-4?! There was a nice fair share of 'A'-tier ones for Wu though. I liked that. Another highly interesting vid!

I definitely feel Wu got the best adds for DW9 shame that the game didn’t do much with them. If the Qiao sisters were aged up a little and less childish id rate them higher Koei does not do range weapons well so I think they need to give characters like Zhu Ran , Huang Zhong actual weapons with ranged themed special effects Zhuran with The triple staff was pretty nice in empires. XiaoQiao and sun shangxiang are my absolute favorites in the game. Xiaoqiao gets hate for being goofy and young but that's kinda what makes her stand out and unique, i wish they wouldn't change anything about her but just give her more screentime and prove herself more often.

Xiao Qiao, Da Qiao, Gan Ning, Ling Tong, Sun Ce, Zhou Yu, and SSX are my favorite characters of Wu. I respect Sun Jian, Zhou Tai, Huang Gai, Lu Xun, and Sun Quan as characters. Zhu Ran's moveset in DW8 is pretty annoying. And among new additions, I like Cheng Pu and Han Dang's design. They have potential at least.

@@TheNightowlGaming Yeah Ding Feng is awesome. I love the contrast of being this hulking scary looking giant yet being so poetic and soft-hearted. Plus in the novel he killed Zhang Liao which gets him brownie points and historically was one of Wu’s greatest and most important generals. Not to mention his ending in DW7 Xtreme Legends was insanely great. Him standing there alone daydreaming about the ghosts of all his Wu friends and predecessors that have died and realizing he’s all that’s left was so good. Same with how great his DW9 ending was. If they actually carried the Wu story into the post 234 era, I think he would shine a lot more and people would appreciate how awesome he is.

Lu Meng was my favorite Wu character by far (but that’s based in his DW5 and earlier iteration) He basically played like a slightly less OP Lu Bu (great AOE damage with his staff)

@@TheNightowlGaming I adore Han Dang, he’s my 7th favourite character in the game overall, bc most characters are too confident in themselves. Han Dang wanting to be noticed and remembered gives his character a vulnerability that not many have. I also love his design being so generic bc it adds to the fact people forget him. He’s super underrated imo. Honestly I love having unusual opinions haha

I been saying this but Sun Jian would’ve definitely brought Wu to higher height’s for sure if he lived longer. Could’ve made Wu have a way more intimidating presence in the 3 kingdoms era. I think Sun Ce would have too, definitely more then his brother Sun Quan *cough cough*. Sun Quan brought shame to the Sun name. Liu Bei my favourite out the 3 leaders but lets be real Sun Jian is the cool one out of the 3 and would be the one to come out on top in a free for all fight of Liu Bei, Cao Cao and Sun Jian.

I think all of the new characters should've debut in dw5 they came before the late era characters. 9 really harmed some these characters. For example Zhou Cang, Xu Sheng, Cheng Pu, Xun Yu, Man Chong all were characters who where notable generals in their respective factions that was either there before or in the beginning of the start of the 3 kingdoms plan. If they would've been put in 5 I think they'd have more love.

I think I'm in deep enough to say this, though I want to stress it's not a complaint: Wildcat lowballs his ratings a lot. He sings many characters' praises before sticking them in B or C. It makes the moments where he's noticeably hot or cold on a character stand out more, and I empathize with not having strong feelings about the majority of a large set, but it just kinda' stands out to me next to the other hosts.

So I guess I'll explain it from my perspective. I think the reason newer characters don't get ranked as high is because we haven't spent as much time with them as other characters, especially those who have now been in 5 or 6 games. It's hard for me to really have a connection with say, Xu Sheng, who I've barely seen outside of 9.
