Chance is like in between , maybe more close to challenging himself but in an unwise way people who actually learned boss's movements can do it with no damage and armor, and not get hit once For chance's case , it's more like let's see how long he will suffer till the experience he gained from it is actually enough for him to win the battle [once by luck]. and he will probably still die from the boss if you make him try it again.

His skill in Soulslikes is bellow average plus he is stubborn, not listening to chat and adding further difficulty by not upgrading his scadutree bleesings, given that he does have more fragments in his inventory. I didnt struggle this much on the final dlc boss, and I fought him on NG+6 without armor and shield, no cheese weapons nor magic.

There really is no way to play these games “how it was intended”. It’s a video game. Even at its hardest setting, it can be fooled even if slightly. I did this boss with a new game + character at lvl 240 using a mimic tear, a bleed build and my scadutree blessings were at lvl 10 I think. Took me a good 3 tries until I got comfortable with her patterns. If you choose to have a brain aneurysm and put yourself through a ridiculous strenuous time and end up with an ulcer and broken things, sure, go ahead. But the devs themselves will say that’s not how they designed the battles. If the game GIVES you tools to progress, it’s absolutely up to you whether it takes you 5 or 250 tries to get through one fight. Again, it’s forever amazing to me how guys like chance and asmongold will purposely suffer in these games to then say they did it the “right” way. If there is one positive takeaway from these playthrough is that it shows the resilience of the human spirit/mind. We are literally watching insane people brake limits and trick the A.I. so, hey, congrats for that.

People complain about his unoptimized build, which is unfair. I have beaten the DLC (as a really bad player) using summons and shieldpoking bosses to death, often researching their weaknesses before. My stream would be the most boring in the world. When I beat Renalla (first try) she didn't even get to drop her moons, but it's the most lackluster way of killing her, waiting for the mimic to aggro her so I can cheap shot her from behind or press my body against hers just pokingthe tha anstspur rapier with fingerprint shield. Chance is a symbol of humanty's eternal struggle against unfavourable odds and suffering that occasional leads to a victory. That's what we want to see. He is the true warrior philosopher!

I will never understand someone making a game as hard as possible and then blame the game. I will never understand these “Make the game super hard” players. I get playing the game your way. That’s fine but I will always say don’t crap on players that don’t want to super struggle and die over 200 times to beat a single boss.
