They are equal or nearly equal in most respects. Basically, it comes down to specialization. Cap has an edge in raw power and stamina due to the fact that he is a super-soldier. On the other hand, Batman has the stealth advantage and the fact that he always has something up his sleeve.

+Dick Grayson Ahem, they're not near equal. Official greats seen feat from proves Captain bench pressing 1100 lbs. That is easier than military press. It can be calculated that Captain can press about 1600 lbs. Since he did that 1200 lbs as exercise so about 6-10 reps. Now i bench press 220 lbs. I usualy exercise 6-10 reps with 185-200 lbs. And i am not fit in many ways as Cap so it can be that Cap can lift even larger amount of weight. Batman has bench pressed 1000 lbs. so that is for him max proven feat. Also supporting 1000 lbs. ceiling. Now it is assumed Batman can run as fast peak olympic athlete. Usain Bolt sprinted about 27 mph at his fastest. Now it has been stated Captain can run even 60 mph. Over twice as fast as Batman. And it is pretty clear, Batman cannot be that fast runner since his immersive strength. Batman has better variety of equipment. Hand to hand. THIS video while it is great underrates Captains fighting skills. ORIGINALLY in WWII Cap knew only few because back then Marines didn't know that many. But today Cap has learned most if not all martial art skills being one of Marvel's best martial artists. And let's not forge that Cap can learn and think faster than average man. He learned all warfare, solidar and militaristic intel and education to the point of Captain in mere month back at WWII. So Cap could in short time learn what Batman did traveling around world for years. TRUE, Batman has stealth advantage but you should remember Cap has enhanced senses. He can hear better than any other man also see. Also Cap while doesn't use it often still knows stealth pretty well. Also Cap has an actual war field experience and is one of the best strategists in Marvel Universe. So they are not necessary equal. Batman still has scientific knowledge but in REAL duel without prep time Batman would be in trouble. I say it could end either way but Cap is logical choise. Sure as always Batman would win with prep time.

Guys here are captains stats. Bench:3 tons. Speed: 50 mph. Jump height, and length: 20-30 feet. Abilities: super strength, speed, jump, and durability. Has thrown hulk off of his feet. Ran 1 mile in 27 seconds. (Or 37?) shield is made by the strongest material/metal in the world, vibranium, and can't be destroyed by anything except through some way that it got destroyed by some dragon. He has a type of spider sense but of course a little slower. He can see thing better, and notice something that a good detective would need, which its a little better than bat mans of course bc bat man is only human. captain America has led battles in wars, and is 2-3 times more strategic than batman. He has benched a motorcycle with 3 women sitting on it without even trying. And batman has said (in comics of course) that captain would most likely beat him in a fist fight. Weaknesses: He isn't human, but he still has human characteristics, such as bleeding, hurting, and bones can still break although it would take about 2000 psi to break his bones, or more. Captain America would beat batman, and now that I've actually said this stuff I think he has a better chance against my favorite superhero ever, Spider-Man. (Also cap. Knows every martial arts known to man, batman knowing 127.)

This is really a tough one. Batman is probably smarter but their both insanely good tacticians. Cap leads Avengers and Bats is just an insanely smart guy and good tacticians. Hmm, bats has lots of gadgets that could harm Cap for example his sonic device could just paralyze him but caps shield is insanely deadly and 1 hit or punch from that could damage Batman, heck, 1 punch from cap could already damage Batman as he is much stronger being a super soldier. Cap has fought actual wars and definitely has experience on his side being much older and more wise. Then again Cap has wielded Thors hammer several times and Bats has some really really powerful exosuits that could probably crush Cap. And then Caps shield is enchanted by Asgardian magic after it got broken by the Odins brother. Cap is faster and has better reflexes. Thor says hes the only human he will take orders from and walk through the gates of hell with. His mile is about 1 minute so hes insanely quick. Cap has more endurance so he could run bats out of stamina. Bats is the greatest detective. hes one of the best on-the-spot thinkers and can withstand great amounts of pain. This is really a fight that can go either way. Their both really good tacticians, however they are both hard hitting humans so either Cap gets a good hit on Bats and knocks him out good or Bats intelligently catches cap off guard with one of his gadgets and Cap is done. And if we are allowed to pull from any point in time then Cap is basically Thor so he wins even againts Bats super power exo-suit.

Batman has fought in wars too. Just alien wars and even traveled back in time and into the future to help out. He fought the White Martians, The Thanagarians, Hades' Army, Ares' Army, The Joining, and even fought along side Superman, Wonder Woman and the Amazons of Themyscara (spelling?) against an army of Doomsdays. Shoot he even fought Darksied's armada. I'd say they're about equal. Just pick your favorite. And I choose Batman.

Captain America obviously. He's got the advantage in strength, speed, endurance, stamina, experience, and skills. Batman has his fair share of tools, however Captain's shield is literally just a "get out of jail free card." Captain is literally the natural human body times 10. Y'know, since that's the point of being a Super Soldier. Batman has certainly shown his own, but Captain can basically counteract everything that Batman can throw at him. He's a god at close combat and has dealt with plenty of people who are masters at the martial arts. His shield is capable of neglecting most projectiles as well as lethal blows. He's had way more experience fighting than Batman. His serum increases almost all of his abilities, including senses, meaning he could sense Batman while he's hiding. He only "lost" per say against Tony and Bucky because he didn't want to kill them. As much as Cap will fight to the very end, he is willing to spare those he cares for. Plus, the dude can take plenty of fatal blows and still keep walking. He got shot four times, gets socked in the face multiple times by a metal arm of a Super Soldier, and falls to the bottom of a lake, and yet still comes out alive! Cap can take a beating and continue on. What is Batman gonna do? Tickle him? And yeah, the Super Soldier Serum is technically a power. It increases all of Captain's stats, as well as allows him to tank hits from the strongest of enemies. Sure, Batman has dealt with super humans, but Captain is also capable of such feats, in fact even more. Gadgets are helpful until you realize they don't do much against a Super Soldier. Batman honestly has no way of killing him, and if you can think of one, Captain can deflect it right back at ya.

Actually, if I recall correctly, Captain America, while yes, using his shield, also trains and fights without it and in fact broke Hawkeye's bow to show him that you cannot rely solely on your equipment.

This video was very well done! Great choreography and costumes. However, Batman would never be able to hurt Captain America. His punches would tickle. He may be a better fighter, but Captain America has far more combat experience and a shield that's unbreakable and could knock Batman out in a single hit. Batman has stealth and a utility belt, but none of that gives him a real edge because it wouldn't even hurt. Unless Batman ran Captain America over with his Bat-mobile, he'd lose 9 times out of 10.

I'm not a fanboy but let me correct you. It is BATMAN that has more combat experience. 127 forms to be exact. Battling someone with an "indestructible" shield is simple for him, you simply take the shield out of his hand as shown in the video. Yes, thanks to the super serum, Cap's body is significantly stronger/faster than the average human. But is Batman really the average human? I mean he literally lifts about ~1,000 lb for his workouts. I'm more than sure Cap will feel a little more than a tickle. But put it like this, Nolan's Batman doesn't stand a chance. ;)

Robin V you right batman can beach 1000 lbs and still capt benches around 1500 lbs or 1200 lbs (depending on the writer) but in a fight between these two will ultimately turn into a Battle of endurance and durability and that where batmen would lose he cant match capt in those two areas capt fight super villains with super human strength on the regular and take alot more punishment that batman could handle......and im not a fanboy either p.s capt has just as much combat exp as batman but either one could win but 8 outta 10 times it would be a draw

Physically, Cap wins....you take away their suits, gadgets, weapons, just old fashioned bare fighting; Cap wins. But if you give Batman full use of his equipment--I mean he'll find a way to neutralize or sedate him. He also could have found a way tag a bomb on his back and wait for it to blow. Actually Batman doesn't really need prep time with Cap. During their first fight, Bats is easily able to tell what kind of a fighter Cap really is and can expose his weakness. Yes I know, Cap had training in fighting before. But Bats, he's a master of all known form of martial arts known to man.

I'm a huge fan of both characters, but let me tell you who would win with a quote from Batman. "If Clark wanted to, he could use his superspeed and squish me into the cement. But I know how he thinks. Even more than the Kryptonite, he's got one big weakness. Deep down, Clark's essentially a good person... and deep down, I'm not." Substitute Captain America for Clark and the meaning is the same. Captain America is essentially a good man. He tries to do what is right at all times. While he is a hero, Batman has no problem with doing what he needs to do to come out on top.

Honestly I think we're missing a lot of ground with the possibility of villains fighting other villains or heroes fighting other character's villains here. sonic8005 I can't disagree with you on sny points you're making, but according to Marvel, cap is not super human. He basically has the most any human can have in regards to his speed strength, mental abilities and agility. The fact that he is also immune to toxins and can sustain hits from a wooden stick, til it breaks with little discomfort, imho makes him more than human, but Marvel doesn't think so. Nobody argues that Batman is immune to poisons, and his resistence to blunt force trauma is due to his armor, not his skin being harder. According to DC Batman is peak human, which is still by far less then the stats captain america can boast. You say they wouldn't be at odds if they met. I agree with you. This is however a debate about what would happen if they should fight. It is my opinion that Cap would dominate Batman. So far I haven't seen an argument that would make me reconsider that stance.

Captain Americas advantages are his super soldier stats while Batman's is his slightly better fighting skills (Not calling cap a chump but 127 different martial arts is a lot) and his gadgetry. As tough as Cap's shield his (Pretty sure it absorbed a pissed off hulks punch before) It's still just a shield and if he is disarmed it puts him at a slight disadvantage. Same could be said for Batman's utility belt but since he has various counter measures to prevent anyone from taking it I doubt that'll happen. Both are master tacticians but I'd say Batman uses his brain more so than Captain America does in fights. This could pretty much go either way.

It all depends on what kind of setting and if any planning is involved. In a straight up fist fight Cap has an edge over Batman, he's (physically) younger, martial arts is just as good as Batman, and his shield is OP. But Batman would realize that he can't take Cap face to face and would most likely go stealth and pop in and out until Cap is tired out. I found this to be really enjoyable and well done. The costumes were true to the characters and not over the top and the fight choreography was entertaining. Also the slow motion sequences and music in the background was a nice touch. Now about the actual fight... Batman, in an unprepared fight, meaning he has no knowledge of Cap and could not study him would lose. His hits would do little to no damage and while he is an expert martial artist, so is Captain America. Cap also can bench press 1200 pounds and due to the Super Soldier serum, his muscles do not tire so he feels no fatigue. However if Batman knew of Cap's qualities, he would probably build a suit that could withstand Cap's strength and also help deliver punches that would also deal damage. But to say there would be a clear winner is nearly impossible because there are so many factors that we would have to look at. These two are some of the best superheroes in comic book history and this video was awesome!!!

Honestly a fight between the two would be a perfect 50/50. It's really close to call because sure Cap has super strenght , can outrun any man has stamina and his shield is a very powerful piece of his arsenal. (That's what i got out of movies and wiki idk about anything else, never read a cap comic) but Batman knows more martial arts than captain america, he's defeated people with serums like captain America such as Bane, Deathstroke, the talons and Thomas Wayne Jr/Lincoln March (court of owls new 52) without enhancements to his body except his superior skills and arsenal. So really it's hard to say who would win straight up. One or the other could win with a lucky shot (batman threw a reverse batarang (like the one in arkham series) before the fight starts and it hits cap then he does a takedown or captain america can purposefully throw the shield at an angle far from batman that he knows he could dodge only so that it actually hits Bats upon returning and then cap does takedown) hard to say, I'm a fan of both (more towards Batman though)

I like cap and I think overall this would be an really good fight but for people to say batman wouldn’t have a chance have clearly never read a batman comic. He’s basically superhuman. But they are both said to be peak human so even with the serum cap isn’t that much above. Bruce has beaten plenty of people who are stronger and fast then him, bane, Grundy, deathstroke, just to name a few. If can hurt them then why wouldn’t he be able to hurt cap? I think, in this video, that after Batman saw Captain America dodge his Bat-a-rangs, grab his sheild again, and seemingly get all his energy back, ( Cap's not looking tired at all) that's where Batman would think "OK, this isn't going to work. I'm gonna' disappear and research this foe more and find a weakness, because nothing I'm doing now is working on him." They are evenly matched, except with physical ability in Captain America's favor. However, I think Batman is too smart a fighter to let it go to a loss for him… since there is no "Robin" or "Cat-woman" in jeopardy.
