I have setup up all the assets and added them onto the relevant ads groups. But when I go to Ad section, it asks me to setup all the same here. So what's the purpose of Assets?

They are the same; Google is just asking for the same thing in two places. So when you create a new campaign, you can select the ad assets you've made; and when you do those ad assets will be applied to that campaign

When you go to all your assets, just click on the sitelinks to update them... if it's giving you trouble just delete the one you don't want and add your new one
