Haven’t looked into it yet. The prime plus comes with “upgraded” materials, so don’t feel the need to upgrade...yet. I’m actually still waiting on my damn rotisserie, GMG has been way behind on the supply chain.

@@TheBBQHQ thankyou. Another method we could use is take out the top shelf and remove shelf brackets when we want to use the rotisserie, then screw the brackets back on and slide the shelf in after using the rotisserie. This would work wouldn't it?

Eddie, we haven’t designed it to fit the downdraft specifically, but plenty of people have used the two together. Most work in the standard configuration, one person had to add a washer to shim the bracket out.

@@TheBBQHQ The godke downdraft adds at least a 1/2 inch i think to the exhaust side of the GMG JB. i dont doubt what your saying. Im just a little weary that a washer will keep that nice and super secure. that is unless the screws are really long. Am I looking at this the wrong way?

Eddie Wright BBQ yes. The bolts are long enough. You’d simply add a washer, if needed, On the inside of grill between the bracket and the grill. Then proceed as normal.

Thanks for reply. Here in Oklahoma, I have access to Cookin, knottywood, lumberjack. These are my top 3 go too. I just seen B&B pellets at a local store but never tried them. So far the 3 mentioned work best in my pitts and Spitts..

Is the sear going to be comparable to a Grill Grate sear kit? This is a better permanent solution if so

The sear station will give you a better overall sear due to the fact it will disperse heat evenly across the whole surface of the kit. But as and overall permanent solution we do find these a better fit.

Are you a custom fabricator? Reason I ask is I like Pit Boss grills. I do not like the slide and sear drip pan/shield. I was wondering if some one could make a plain, flat stainless drip pan.

We have a fabricator but custom is tough right now for a few reasons. A local fabrication shop Should be able to do it easily.

If you have the pizza attachment for the GMG Daniel Boone or Jim Bowie. Will not have any issue with adding this upgrade. Just need to take the grill grates out to fit the pizza attachment.

Brennen Kent some sort of high temperature paint. I would use a tiny brush to avoid over application, and overspray that you get with aerosols.

Just burn the new/raw surface off then run something greasy or even coat with lard and smoke it. With regular use they should build a typical brown/black smoke coating that will protect the steel.

Contrary to what this company says, installing this kit on your GMG grill will void your warranty but GMG will still work with you. I contacted GMG directly asking them if installing this kit on the grill will void the warranty and their exact words are below. With that said, I will still be installing these on my GMG JB Prime when I get it because they're so much better than the stock grates.
