@@once_momo hi haha personally my eyes are on the more sensitive and dry side so I've learned to buy lenses that I know are very soft and use extra moisturizing eye drops. I also tend to choose smaller/natural lens size rather than the big eye lens since I find that big ones are much harder to apply since my eyes are kinda small and are usually more irritating to my eyes.

Base curve is always important for me when I buy contact lenses! Surprisingly, there's not a lot of 8.8 lenses 😅 and my eyes are a bit sensitive, so I tend to get dailies. I've tried biweekly lenses before, but it just hurts my eyes too much to use even though I've cleaned it up...

@@IntegrityMeansAll I was referring to the base curve of the lenses! There's several, from 8.6mm to 8.9mm. I can handle lenses that have a base curve of 8.7mm, but the best for me would be 8.8mm 😁 Hope this helps!

I wore circle lenses for 3 years after visiting Japan. They *ruined* my eyes indefinitely. Yes, I took proper care of them. However, contacts should be treated as the medical devices that they are. Only purchase lenses from you Optometrist/ Dr.

@@lyeee6 You can get colored lenses from your Dr. who will fit them to your eye. Purchasing cheap lenses online from a foreign country isn’t the way to go. My eyes have healed but now I have to see not only my Optometrist but also an Ophthalmologist who specializes in eye diseases. The walls of my eyes have thinned significantly and my eyes are on watch now. Do what you will, just proceed with caution.

As someone who wears prescription contacts I was told to only get contacts made in the US or Ireland (from licensed companies) because everywhere else in the world companies are allowed to sell contacts that deprive your eyes of more than 20% of the oxygen they need leading to, at the very least, a damaged cornea.

i once bought a 14.2 lenses, and when i wear it i kinda see white things around my eyes, i can’t see clearly. i thought the lenses were bad and blamed them lol. then i accidentally bought a 14.5 lenses and it works perfectly, that’s how i know that 14.2 is too small for my eyes

I'm trying to figure out why opaque lenses look like I have prominent eyeballs. So most of the time, I would only pick ones with graphics closer to the outer ring and wider pupillary "space". There are also lenses with a gradient outer ring that makes your iris line looks blurry, while others with a defined outer ring makes you look sharper and have whiter sclera!

apart from the contrast between the nose and the eyes when having a bigger nose and wearing light contacts making the nose appear bigger, i think its also because striking eyes draw the gaze towards the middle part of the face

17:17 i am not sure but in my place silicone hydrogel is the most expensive lens although it said that it is safer and more comy. It charged 3x from regular color lenses while it only lasts for 3 months

I wanna cosplay but I’m not interested in those bright neon colored ones I wanna cosplay Kanao from demon slayer and I wanna use a muted purple colored lense similar to the Douyin ones but with an eye enlarging effect, I don’t want the ones that are huge but maybe the kind that visibly show your eyes have enlarged but only by a little. but I wouldn’t plan on wearing them that much only for a few minutes to make a video or take pictures. would it ruin my eyes if I just wore them for a few minutes? @@limi904 well you could consultant an eye specialist to suggest you good contact lens.....then depending on your skin tone and facial features...look for a good color. Mostly I would go for dark /baby blue or black/brown......they suit everyone almost Hope that helps

it is a measure of how much minus the eye. if you are nearsighted, adjust it to the glasses you usually wear. but if your eyes are not nearsighted choose normal.
