I have created 3 VMs. I want achieve the following: In VM1, i want to install the web-server. In VM2, i want to install database. And then deploy a simple web app and make sure it is accessible from VM# and the host system web browser.

Make sure your file permissions are correct on NGINX. “www-data” needs to be the owner of any file you use in NGINX for a site.

Reinstall nginx. apt remove nginx, apt purge nginx, apt install nginx
