Great content! One question: publishing and copyright - a clear matter. What about the master and the split of master royalties directly from the sale itself (Spotify)? I assume that most of them concern the artist, but I also saw "You get to keep 50% of the master royalties (Spotify & other streaming platforms profit) and 50% publishing (including mechanical royalties)."

Nope, the buyer of the best gets to keep every royalty made by the master recording, the producer only takes 50% of publishing. But the song you made by leasing a beat isn't exclusive, you can't sell that song to anyone

I have a question? Lets say i bought a basic license can i switch to a higher tier anytime? And if i use a heat without buying it for none profit then when i eventually do get monetize can i buy it anytime?

The answer to both the questions is yes, but the beat should still be available for sale. If the best is sold exclusively after you purchased the license, then you can't do anything about it.

I do not recommend using melodic samples, leads to be exact. Drums and chord progressions cannot be copyrighted, but the main melody and leads can be copyrighted.

Sir what if someone buys a non exclusive license of my beat for period of 5 years and another person buys an exclusive licence of the same beat after him , then I have to remove my beat from the beat store as it is sold exclusively.. If after 5 years the non exclusive beat buyer comes to me and asks for renewal or upgradation of his license , is it valid or not ?? So will the song be removed from platforms after 5 years ?

You cannot renew a non exclusive license if the beat has been sold exclusively. You'll have to take down your music using that beat after your license expires. If you bought the beat exclusively, then it's up to you if you want to allow people to keep their music alive and charge a fee for that. You can do that if you wish to

hello, 1. what if you have a non exclusive license with let's say 5 years contract. And then after you, somebody buys the exclusive rights and getting it off the market. Will you, after 5 years, be able to renew your non exclusive license for another 5 years? what happens to your song? 2. if you buy exclusive rights. does the producer still have the rights to claim 50% of the profit you make? or is it yours 100% profitable just for you? thank you

Contact their distributor and let them know their artist's license has expired, or send the artist a DMCA takedown notice.

You need to check your database of customers, if still you cannot figure it out, simply email them and ask them for the license and order number of the beat if they have purchased it.
