Man I wish I saw this video when I was first attempting to bend strings. You explained the bending technique better than anyone I've ever heard. This vid would have saved me from a couple of months of frustration.

In the beginning I did exactly what you said, chaned to eights instead od elevens, and 45 n some yrs stayed with eights, but for beginner can be tricky, because of lightness you tend to "over" do it-need a good ear...God bless, all the best n luck, Slider from Tres Dedos

Great lesson Steve. The Muse song "Psycho" is basically nothing but bends and pull-offs and almost never leaves the low E and after watching your lessons I sound much less crappy than before. Haha.

Thanks for the information..I love bending..but I was just using the strength of my fingers to bend..I knew there was a correct form in doing it...which brought me here..just like you said with exercise form..I wanted to see the right way..thanks 👍✌️

I have been doing this right but the note is always a little high or low unless I hear the note I want to bend to :(

Hi. Thanks for commenting. Playing the target note before bending is a great way to practice. Another thing you can do is once you play it you can sing it and then bend the string. Takes a bit of practice but it's awesome for your ear training. Keep up the great work and any questions feel free to ask!

My fingers gets stuck on the upper string while coming down. And There is noise due to that

Mute the upper strings with your picking hand. Steve has other videos about muting with both hands in different situations.
