Great tips Missy! All the videos on the Betterpress system I've watched say you can Glimmer hot foil with the Betterpress plates, but you cannot Betterpress with the Glimmer hot foil plates, so I'm glad to see that you experimented and had such a great result! Love how your Halloween card came out, those glow in the dark ghosts are adorable, as is your Boo sentiment!

Although the glimmer plates are slightly thicker, they have been working great for me and causing no issues. 😍 I’m collecting more Betterpress plates as they come in stock! 🤩 I LOVE how intricate they are. The Christmas and Halloween releases are so stinking cute! 😍😍❤️❤️❤️ I can’t wait to use the BetterPress Christmas plates for Christmas cards this year! The glow in the dark is stunning! Loved this video. I was happy to see you use the die’s from the foiling system. I was wondering about them. I don’t want to ruin my better press but the plates are very expensive,especially in Canada. :/ Beautiful card! So cute. Thanks for sharing your awesome ideas. ❤❤❤❤

I realize this video is over a year old and you may have updated some information but…. The yellow tape is very good for taping the gray plate top and bottom so it doesn’t shift in the (rare) event you don’t get a good press. It prevents the plate from shifting (which happened to me) when you press the same plate again. Also, Spellbinders now has plate “kits” that allow you to press different pieces in different colors so it’s imperative that your grey insert doesn’t move. Also, I use the sticky graph (Ranger? I’ve seen you use it before) on my top plate to position my paper. I just leave it there - it’s good for quite a few uses before having to replace it. And I don’t use a very big piece- just center it.

I tried the Betterpress with my Sizzix Switch machine and I don’t feel I get a good impression. It ink beautifully but didn’t really “emboss”the paper. Do you feel the Betterpress works better with a manual machine??

Can you roll the tape into a loop and tack it in between the plate and the paper?

You can definitely do that Ann. Just make sure the paper is totally flat to the plate and doesn’t fall, or the ink could smudge on your card stock. 🥰 Big Hugs, Miss 🤗🤗❤️❤️
