That is a crazy simple install! Nice! My Jeep is set up (after market head unit) to play DVDs while in motion. I actually find it distracting and don't do it, generally, but like you said, it's really nice to be able to flip it on the screen to change chapters and stuff while the kid is in the back watching it.

It actually wasn't too bad once i realized it had to go down below AND the harness was plenty long. It didn't say anything in the manual about placement so shit like this you gotta figure out yourself the hard way sometimes haha! thanks Dan bro.

Much respect, keeping it real on the dash pull, it was done like a master for sure keeping it very neat and clean. This reminds me of the install I'm doing on a 2018 Ram. iData Maestro modules etc. I'm keeping up with the times but oh man do I miss the 90s and 00's as far as alarms, remote starts and radio installs. Tuned in for the amp rack and I Really Really dig the rear defrost switch for the movies

I need to get one of these. I had an installer that was trying to install two amps with components and subs that is having a hard time summing the inputs to get a good signal to use. I should've spent the extra 500 to get the M650-GM.

Not really these have everything you need and they don't support installing an aftermarket unit as far a ice researched they loose allot of the capabiltys and he wants to keep the DVD feature so it wouldn't have been worth. It

Now if you got an aftermarket DVD radio, all you have to do is bypass the parking wire from the radio by grounding it straight to the radio and you won't need to get an aftermarket interface kit to get your video to keep playing while driving. it's pretty straight forward and it will work in most newer 2DIN DVD receiver.

Not ALL makes and models but i have installed some new ones in the likes of Kenwood/JVC that you can still do this trick. I have a Kenwood 9903S in my truck with this done to it. And it works perfect.

High tech LOC basically, went from a headunit not having preamp outputs to having to interrupt canbus signal to get preamp outputs...engineers can really complicated simple things. I work on all these new cars daily and can definantly say they design these new cars to fail and for consumers not to be able to work on their own vehicles.

This is not a simple LOC. This grabs the signal BEFORE it gets ruined by the factory bose amp. A LOC only grabs the signal after it has already been ruined by the factory amp. I don't know about all cars buy my Cadillac's factory amp Destroys the signal by cutting frequency and adding distortion. I've tried a couple different LOC's initially trying to get good clean deep base, didn't work. It wasn't until I grabbed the signal before the factory Blose amp that I got the base I wanted, and without distortion. With the LOC's I wasn't even able to push my subs before the signal started clipping.

Kinda funny that my cts has to have the same crap removed to get to the radio and they are 2 different generations. I had to pull the wood on both sides, and the side panels by the center console just to pull my bezel off as well. I guess GM likes keep things similar.

I think that's why you can press the button to enable/disable. For instance if you're on the road and you need to update your nav your passenger(because you're busy driving of course) can unlock the keyboard and put the address in without forcing you to pull over.
