The truly savvy will notice the principles that the techniques are based on, as these will be repeated constantly, throughout the system. Real world self defence, born out of necessity and based in absolute practicality.

I trained in a KMA affiliated school in Tennessee and it’s the best thing I have ever done for myself. The process of becoming a KMA certified instructor is very grueling and had I been younger and not set in a career I would have loved to become an instructor. Very good experience with this system.

On the rear naked choke could you potentially drop your hips thrust them back and simultaneously drop your shoulder, and flip said attacker to their shoulder or back instead of trying to hand fight? The hand fight is a tough battle to face. And a toss could be quicker. As if using their hold against them and adding gravity and body mass to entice the attacker to break said hold..? Although i can gauge how size difference could make this theory ineffective..

Yeah this stuff is all great, except people don’t choke you unless they’re on top of you. And the attacker doesn’t loosen the grip just because the defender is practicing a technique. Also if you tried your little pluck when I had you in a rear naked you wouldn’t get anywhere. If it was this easy don’t you think MMA fighters would be doing it to escape rear naked chokes? Another thing that doesn’t usually happen unless you’re on the ground

For this frontal choke my way would be to quickly and aggressively bring my dominant arm with a fast turning motion up over the attackers hands, possibly striking the eyes as I turn, simultaneously trapping the attackers right hand with my left palm , bring my right hand to my left shoulder, dropping my weight downward. This motion traps the attackers hands and turns there right palm towards them as you push down on the back of the hand breaking the wrist. This also drops them to their knees. I know it sounds complicated. But at full speed all the movements become one. You are striking the eyes ,breaking the choke trapping the hand, breaking the wrist, and dropping them in one fluid motion. No one can resist the movement, no matter how strong they are. That snapping and turning of the hips as you push the entire right arm right across your body to your left shoulder is the key. Even if you miss the right hand trap, you have broken the choke.

Some of these comments...utter stupidity, what do you guys expect? Utter mayhem and full on attacks? Yes this is not Krav Maga in Israel, but still it is what they are doing. Somany "Arm chair black belts here" comparing this to MMA is stupid, MMA is still a sport, yes brutal but in a cage still with a ref and all. This is self-defence and it worked for the Israelis in real combat and they need their guys alive before battle not with a smashed nose and all the teeth missing or broken bones. Also there is a element of motor skill training and reflex response in self-defence and martial arts which is underrated and is what it is all about. How do you think Bruce Lee beat the crap out of others without sparring or training with anyone? MMA? The Israelis do not want to go to ground and get kicked to pulp with street fighters from Gazza. Unbelievable...

Think about this. Karate and others are watered down. Also being a sport. So takes years. Many years. Karate Do, Aiki Do, Ju Do. All do, martial "art". Not karate jitsu, Jiu jitsu, etc. Art seems to be emphasized. Krav, Defendu, Gracie JJ, are about quick learning to protect ones self.
