Usually I have a build or just a couple bricks attached to the plates so they don’t separate from each other. I don’t do anything to keep them from moving on the carpet, I guess they’re just pretty good at staying in one place.

He uses clay or sticky tac to hold it onto the blaster and then on the next frame he holds it in the direction it was shot but his hand is just out of the shot.

Each complete figure costs around 20-30 dollars, and helmets cost 4 dollars. Most of the troops in this video were just custom helmets placed on plain LEGO clone bodies.
