A lot of this stuff actually happened with Smash 4 AI, too. I've had Fox do weird illusion gimp attempts offstage, although those didn't work, and the AI would constantly throw out spikes whenever you tried to get near the ledge... just that they didn't do it well if you recovered low in most cases.

Yeah normally cpu's in previous games would let you be entertained in their presence. The only way for you to experience that is if you battled one. But thanks to Smash Ultimate i can now rest easy knowing that cpus are gonna give no breaks even against other cpus.
