I am not a fan of the dark wood colors but I think this is a beauty. I have one comment about your statement on putting the "throne" in a separate room. All campers that I have seen with the throne separate from the shower and sink are very small and claustrophobic. I like everything in one room myself. Keep the reviews coming, I enjoy all of them.

Why are all Redwoods 8 ft wide instead of 8 1/2? I would think at this price point they would all be wide body. Very noticeable if you go into a Riverstone right before or after a Redwood. Great looking trailer though!

In the living space, I didn't see any storage space and It seemed limited to closet space for clothes. Plenty of seating space really liked that and they had a water purifying outlet, I like that. I am putting one in my trailer. Sure is a heavy trailer.

As a IT guy, I love the clean wire and plumbing installations. I like the dark colors. The front living room is very nice. The main bathroom is very nice. Lots of storage. This was a very nice Fifth Wheel to share. Thanks for another great video.

I just bought a 45 ft toy hauler that weighs 15700 dry, triple axle and had it delivered from California to Oklahoma. The guy shows up towing it with a SRW Ford F-250. My jaw dropped. We bought F450 dually to tow it and sometimes I wonder if that’s enough based on my payload capacity. I can’t believe he drove it that far with that truck through a snow storm 😳😳😳

Big difference in handling between empty and kitted for use. Our momentum 376TH 16300 empty. Wasnt bad until loaded up ant 117gal of water. Pulled hard. Traded down to mid bunk 4 kiddos

All of the professional 5th wheel movers/deliverers run SRW. It keeps their operating/maintenance costs lower.

I have a 2019 Ram 3500HD SRW that has a 25,305lb 5th wheel tow rating and 3,995 haul capacity. I regularly pull my 30' 10,000lb 5th wheel with a 3,000lb trailer with my RZR behind that. Never had a problem with it. Never felt unstable even in the high Santa Ana winds here in the California desert. I've also had almost 21,000lb of goose neck trailer and load behind it, no problem with that either. So as long as that trailer doesn't have more than 3,000lb of weight on the 5th wheel, I wouldn't have any worries about pulling it.

I don't mind you saying nice all the time. For that price it better be nice. I wish more manufactures would adopt the hook wall in the pass thru. A very versatile thing to have that isnt all that expensive.

Didn't seem as spacious inside as I'd imagine from exterior appearance, but maybe that's due to how dark it was in there. Like the big single stainless steel kitchen sink and dual master bathroom sinks. Mini bathroom sink bowl not so keen on. That huge black thing on the back seen from outside is strange. Walls not as thick as the other high end units? Are these walls Azdell? Great suspension though! Also that dinette table is reduced in usable space due to that shelf on the end! Thanks 👍

A really nice 5th wheel,but kinda dark. I personally don't like the thankless water heaters: if you stay at full hookups they're fine but waste far too much water when you boondock. Stay safe.

While I typically agree with your safe/conservative towing recommendations. The 2022 Ram 3500 SRW, even in the well equipped Laramie trim has a payload of almost 6k pounds and a towing capacity twice the weight of this trailer. Perfectly safe. Just saying there is safe and then there is just a less than real world recommendation. This is the latter.

Hi J D, how thick are the slide walls on this Redwood? Riverstone? Beacon? We are searching for a true 4 season fifth wheel with thick walls, high R values for roof, sides, floor plus the enclosed, insulated, and heated underbelly.

You mentioned the quiet cool AC's. I find it baffling why they would put TWO units next to each other, and especially in the living room where you would watch TV. If you need to run both units, how truly "quiet" would that be? Would you even be able to hear the TV's? I think it would be a good video to show these units in operation under real-world conditions, and let us know what it like.

-Having back issues, I always prefer the storage/access panels to open side to side vs stopped at halfway up because of the slide outs. A few inches less bending every time make a huge difference. -As you mentioned a few times it looks nice but lighter wood to bounce light around would be better. -I prefer single bathroom sink with more counter space than a 2nd sink which I am sure most people never use, somehow people are convinced it is an upgrade though (and because of that, as a home builder I always put 2 sinks in the master bath too. RV's have more of a space premium though so...). I also prefer a queen bed which gives extra space and often allows for side table(s) -Overall a layout that would work very well for us I think and would make our short list.

I sincerely ask your channel-can you or anyone please provide some solid info on hauling a rig like this one with a non dually 1 ton truck. I have 2017 non dually F350 6.7 liter diesel and i haul my 19,000 lb dutchman voltage full body paint toy hauler. It tows it fine-been towing it now for 3 years. I have scoured youtube for evidence that non dually is dangerous and supporting videos. But i have found zero videos. Its obvious that dually tires spread out the load and that if one tire gets flat the other will carry the load. Is there one video showing a flat on a rear tire causing loss of control while towing a heavy 5th wheel? Kindly asking -not picking a fight.

I’ve always been frustrated with the Redwood brand. They present themselves as an equivalent to the high end brands in the space, like DRV and Riverstone, and put the same price tag on their rigs, but then do major cost cutting like the 2” walls, half-baked placement of controls like the dump valves, and entry level components like the light switches and appliances. To me they are more flash than substance compared to others at that price point.

Remember, 20% of the fifth wheels GVWR will be transferred to the back of the truck. Think of it as the RV tire are the rear tires on a vehicle. The Rear tire of the tow vehicle is the front tires of the RV.

Love redwood but like many other rv’s at what point will the price stop going up. You are talking about $160,000.00 depreciating camping vehicle that let’s face e it most of them are pretty but cheaply built. Yes I know you can probably get this for $140,000.00 but still that’s a lot of money for a family that probably won’t spend more than 4 weeks a year in it.

Most decent RVs now have a water manifold, nothing special by Redwood. DRV Mobile Suites are better than Redwood. Don't like where they have the tank dump valves, could get hit and broke in storage area.

I don't like it, for it's size there's not much storage space. They located the electrical layout and water manifold system on the wall in the lower storage area where it's exposed to the movement of anything carried in that compartment. It'll certainly get abused by any movement of the load carried in that compartment! The two separate dumps for the gray and black water are a pain in the toilet production unit!! If ya know what I mean. The kitchen area is very tight and poorly laid out. In General, not impressed! It's allot of money for a unit that is not very user friendly. Just my opinion!
