I didnt know they had ultimate for snes until a few years ago! Me and a friend would walk to a college up the road to play the arcade cab all day, then I bought mk3 for snes and was missing characters! I would of held of for this even tho had loads of fun with other mk3!

Yeah,even in His Skin that can deflect any Projectiles you use against him and hurtle them towards you.

@DeathAdder7 After getting use to an opponent who can hit hard, teleport, has full immunity to projectile attack, fire multiple fireballs at once, this makes fighting another opponent who only hits hard very easy. But, that's me.

@@RangoTheMercenary yes, due to the cartridge size limitation, the "Brutality" voice over is omitted and they use the "Fatality" voice instead. Not to mention that Shiva also omitted from the game because of the same reason.

Although noob saibot doesn't have fatalities in this game but he does have a knock off pit fatality and easy combos

Noob is basically child's easy mode in this game, the CPU falls for his cloud move that disables your special moves and your ability to block. Happens with versions of MK Trilogy as well, like Noob, Rain is also cheat mode as he has no issues connecting specials over and over again.

Weird. Except for Mortal Kombat Advance, this is the first UMK3 port I've seen that lacks the Treasures of Shao Kahn. What may have happened?

Probably cut due to the cartridge size. It's a miracle that they were able to fit all these characters onto the SNES.

@@Rocket1377 But it's nearly 4 MB, the size of the Genesis version, and that version does include the treasures of Shao Kahn And, oh, yes, a morph for Shang Tsung into robot Smoke, which is also included in the corresponding port of MK3 but is also absent from MK3 for SNES.

@@billybobs1705 Not always, how about Fatal Fury on Genesis, which cut out two characters, including Geese's right hand man, Billy Kane. Let's not forget Samurai Shodown, which removed Earthquake and his stage. It's not always about system specs, it's how talented the development team behind the port. At times it felt like western developers were getting paid extra by Sega to try and botch SNES ports when the games were cross platform. Sega wanted western developers developing games for the console really bad at one point, and wouldn't surprise me one bit that they would try and win these developers over by paying them extra money to try and make their port seem better (or console exclusive games between the 16 bit consoles), and in turn gimp their competitors version. But a lot of the time games that were crossplatform had missing background details and elements that didn't make it to the Genesis side, like Hook for example, where the snow stage in the Genesis version had no falling snow weather effects, while the SNES version had falling snow throughout the stage, and the Genesis version missing a full 7 songs that were on the SNES version's soundtrack.

El punto más bajo del port diria que es el sonido y los bugs, hay algunos efectos del ost que estan bien pasados desde el arcade, pero otros son bastante feos y compactos

If the developers had used only 4 more megs of memory on the cart, Sheeva & many of the missing sound effects (mostly voices) would've been included & they maybe could've de-compressed some of the existing ones so they sounded better. I always think of MK2 on the 32X as a great example how simply adding in a bunch of arcade perfect sound effects & voices can really change the atmosphere of the game for the better. If Nintendo had cared enough about pleasing customers, they would've thrown some of their developing expertise in with Williams to help send the SNES out with the best possible port of this game, but instead we're left with this disappointment. Considering Williams was given the same size cart (32 megs) to work with as MK3, they probably did the best they could. I did like much of the music Sculptured Software did originally though. It was always the subpar sound effects that bothered me. The voice compression on MK Trilogy for N64 sucked too. Leaving out Kintaro & Goro on that was unforgiveable. Didn't they notice they were missing before releasing it. All it would've taken was another 4-8 megs on that to get things right. So many missed opportunities
